Full Job Description
Functioning within the Health System's mission, values, objectives, policies and procedures, and under the general direction of the Vice President & CNO, the Clinical Manager has twenty-four (24) hour accountability for the administration and operation of the assigned LMHS nursing unit. The Clinical Manager manages the human, fiscal, and physical resources of the department and is responsible for budgeting, quality control, and oversight of those who provide patient care. Responsibilities include planning and decision-making, managing relationships and staff development. The Clinical Manager ensures that initiatives are in place to assure that quality, cost containment, patient and physician satisfaction, and associate engagement goals are met. The Clinical Manager collaborates with other LMHS leaders to develop and implement an operational plan that is in alignment with the organization's strategic plan.
Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
Licensure/Certification: Must hold a valid unrestricted license with the Ohio Board of Nursing. ACLS and nursing certification are preferred. PALS required within eighteen (18) months of hire into the role.
Experience: A minimum of three years of clinical experience, including one year of charge nurse experience, is required. Previous management experience and recent experience with Medical/Surgical Hospice, Oncology, and Pediatric nursing are strongly preferred.
Skills: Must have demonstrated advanced competency with clinical skills and the ability to effectively manage through delegated activities which include but are not limited to staffing, scheduling, payroll, competency assessment, compliance, problem resolution, quality assessment/improvement, and change management.
