Clinical Informatics Specialist IV plays a critical role in advancing UCLA Health's analytics and technology strategy by designing and delivering intelligent, workflow-driven solutions that transform clinical and operational processes. In this role, you will partner with clinical, operational, business intelligence, and enterprise analytics teams to translate complex business challenges into scalable, data-driven solutions. You will design, develop, and optimize modern analytics capabilities that leverage enterprise data platforms, automation frameworks, large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and enterprise technologies such as Salesforce to create meaningful operational efficiencies and actionable insights.

What You'll Do- Design and implement intelligent, workflow-driven solutions that improve clinical, operational, and business processes across the organization.
- Translate complex workflows and business requirements into scalable analytics, automation, and AI-enabled solutions.
- Develop and optimize data models, SQL-based analytics solutions, and scalable data assets that support reporting, operational intelligence, and decision-making.
- Build and operationalize automation capabilities, agent-based systems, and AI-powered solutions that enhance efficiency, productivity, and insight generation.
- Leverage modern analytics platforms, enterprise data ecosystems, and emerging technologies, including large language models (LLMs) and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), to solve business challenges.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation and deliver solutions aligned with organizational goals and priorities.
- Partner closely with business intelligence, enterprise analytics, clinical, and operational teams to define solution strategies and drive successful implementation.
- Support the integration of enterprise technologies, including Salesforce and other business platforms, to improve workflow efficiency and data accessibility.
- Establish and promote best practices for solution design, data governance, security, scalability, and operational support.
- Lead end-to-end solution delivery, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and ongoing optimization.
- Monitor and evaluate solution performance, recommending enhancements that maximize business value and user adoption.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by providing technical expertise, strategic guidance, and innovative approaches to complex operational and analytical challenges.
This flexible hybrid role allows for a blend of remote and on-site work, requiring presence on-site at least 5% of the time or as needed based on operational requirements. Please note, travel to the "home office" location is not reimbursed. Each employee will complete a FlexWork Agreement with their manager to outline expectations and ensure mutual understanding. These arrangements are periodically reviewed and may be adjusted or terminated as necessary.
Salary offers are based on a variety of factors including qualifications, experience, and internal equity. The full salary range for this position is $ 109,900 - $243,900 annually. The University anticipates offering a salary below $170,000 annually.
