Responsibilities

Job Summary

Responsible for clinic operations, ensuring that systems and protocols are in place and that staff are properly trained. Provide direction and leadership for patient care. Collaborate with leadership to facilitate favorable department financial performance and ensure that the highest quality of care and productivity is performed. Direct and motivate staff to deliver high-quality care and exceptional patient experiences.

Dental Assistants, Medical Assistants, Patient Service Representatives and other clinic support staff

Essential Job Functions

b7a0a0a0a0 Select, orient and train employees and evaluate job performance

b7a0a0a0a0 Assign job assignments and work schedules for staff and clinicians

b7a0a0a0a0 Monitor appropriate time and attendance for employees and coverage arrangement for time off

b7a0a0a0a0 Coordinate the function of the clinic and ensure that all patients are treated in a timely, professional and courteous manner and ensure customer satisfaction

b7a0a0a0a0 Ensure adequate coverage and mix of clinicians and support staff for clinical service delivery

b7a0a0a0a0 Set up and maintain monthly clinician schedule

b7a0a0a0a0 Maintain knowledge of and monitor appointment schedule; review scheduling of site daily; coordinate access to care with Clinic Managers at all sites

b7a0a0a0a0 Periodically review registration paperwork to ensure that all charts, forms and reports are available prior to the patient visit

b7a0a0a0a0 Observe and monitor patient flow activities throughout the day to ensure that patients are seen in a timely fashion

b7a0a0a0a0 Act as an advocate for patients by communicating patient needs to staff and seek resolution to concerns

b7a0a0a0a0 Maintain knowledge of all aspects of the clinic operations and the duties of staff

b7a0a0a0a0 Update employees on all clinic programs by providing information, direction and monitoring of procedural changes

b7a0a0a0a0 Monitor "Failed Appointments" and follow up according to protocol

b7a0a0a0a0 Record and report any unusual occurrences or incidents; utilize the "variance report" correctly

b7a0a0a0a0 Prepare productivity, goals & objectives and other pertinent reports on a timely basis

b7a0a0a0a0 Communicate between all shifts to ensure that all instructions are followed

b7a0a0a0a0 Arrange and conduct staff meetings on a regular basis

b7a0a0a0a0 Participate in Operations related meetings and serve on various committees as assigned

b7a0a0a0a0 Take part in clinic activities to increase employee morale and maintain a good, humored perspective

b7a0a0a0a0 Be available as a resource person for all staff and patients

b7a0a0a0a0 Assist with the development of protocols and policies and procedures

b7a0a0a0a0 Ensure compliance with DHS licensing and regulations

b7a0a0a0a0 Assist in the preparation of the clinic for audits and site visits

b7a0a0a0a0 Arrange for equipment repairs and ensure calibration is done according to schedule

b7a0a0a0a0 Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature review, in-service meetings and workshops

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

b7a0a0a0a0 Minimum four years92 experience and training in clinical systems a0

b7a0a0a0a0 CPR Certification (BLS Child, Infant, Adult)

b7a0a0a0a0 Valid California driver92s license, current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

b7a0a0a0a0 Medical Assistant or LVN certification/experience

b7a0a0a0a0 Bilingual English/Spanish

Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Knowledge of community health centers, and public assistance programs, state and federal regulations and managed care systems
  • Strong experience with computers, Microsoft Office products, business e-mail communication systems and internet search capabilities

Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Experience/familiarity with Practice Management and Electronic Medical Records systems, NextGen preferred

Pay Rate

  • $82,000 - $92,000 Depending On Experience
