About the Role

The Client Research & Analytics Lead is an integral part of Latham's Revenue & Financial Analysis team. This role will be responsible for providing insight and advice on origination and proliferation credit to the firm's partners to help them accurately record and capture the financial impacts of their work on their Brown Books, while researching and analyzing client data using external market intelligence and search platforms and internal systems, as well as reviewing internal lawyer information to advise partners on eligibility and how to apply for credits according to the firm's policies. This role will be located in our New York office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:
  • Partnering with Conflicts, New Business Intake, Billing, and FIC teams to thoroughly understand and advise on the implications of Credit on their processes and financial reporting for partners
  • Analyzing and interrogating data, including financials, to drive efficiency and process improvement within the team
  • Building and maintaining trusted advisor relationships with lawyers and business services professionals at all levels to support and advise on Credit
  • Managing a portfolio of offices to ensure all partner credit needs are met through a structured, proactive approach that balances an otherwise fluctuating workload throughout the year
  • Representing the Credit team in cross-functional meetings to provide updates and answer questions
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, or statistics
  • A minimum of six (6) years of experience in related research and analysis areas
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of cumulative professional experience

Pay Range

USD $145,000.00 - USD $160,000.00 /Yr.
