General Description

The Senior Client Relations Analyst will support the Client Relations Senior Manager and Director of Client Relations - Private Equity in driving new business and strengthening client relationships. This role focuses on analyzing client and market data, coordinating private equity client team efforts, and translating insights into actionable strategies that strengthen relationships and drive growth. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who collaborates across practices to support team planning, internal reporting, and leadership briefings, while monitoring private equity trends and deal activity. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple initiatives while working closely with senior stakeholders in a fast-paced, confidential environment. Additionally, as part of the Client Relations and Opportunities (CRO) team, the senior analyst will help manage events, coordinate essential projects (e.g., core industry events such as ACG, AM&AA, and iGlobal) for the corporate section, prepare and schedule conference meetings and materials, and assist with both internal and external client outreach.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
  • Drive the development of clear and measurable client engagement goals each year, focusing on key performance indicators such as new client engagement, generation of new opportunities and referral sources, partner feedback, and growth in client portfolio value at the direction of the Client Relations Manager and Director of Client Relations - Private Equity.
  • Analyze firmwide private equity client data, market activity, and relationship intelligence to inform strategic planning and targeting.
  • Serve as the project lead for forward-looking initiatives, including DealCloud management, events, sponsorships, and tracking/reporting.
  • Engage in client and partner communications under managerial guidance. If directed, this will include sourcing new leads and opportunities for the Corporate, M&A and Securities (CMAS) section.
  • Participate in client development calls upon partner and/or CRO leadership request, contributing ideas, conducting competitor research, and facilitating follow-ups to enhance client service.
  • Partner closely with attorneys to prepare for internal strategy sessions and relationship planning meetings.
  • Monitor private equity trends, fund activity, and deal flow to identify opportunities for deeper client engagement.
  • Assist in identifying, planning, and participating in external conferences, events, and publications that support partners in business development and opportunity identification, adhering to the firm's budgetary guidelines.
  • Support the reporting funnel, including tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), team engagement tagging on new matter intake, track opportunities, introductions, interactions, follow-up actions, and specific targets for HK Deal Flow, CMAS and other Firm engagements as outcomes of these focused efforts.
  • Organize and support the planning and coordination of practice-specific events or communications led by the CRO team ensuring alignment with the rest of the marketing support network.
  • Proactively identify gaps, risks, and growth opportunities within private equity client portfolios.
  • Expected to maintain a regular and predictable work schedule and full attention to and engagement in work activities on behalf of the firm during business hours unless otherwise approved or required by applicable law.

Preferred Qualifications & Education
  • MBA preferred.
  • Data base management and analytics preferred.
  • Familiarity with middle-market M&A processes or private capital markets.
  • Exposure to private equity, venture capital, investment banking, lender relationship management or corporate development.
  • Knowledge of data enrichment tools (e.g., PitchBook, Capital IQ).
