WHO WE’RE LOOKING FORAs part of the Customized Client Care team of MusiCares, the Client Manager will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive support to clients including assessments, grant request support, and referrals for individuals who meet MusiCares’ program guidelines. You will contribute to MusiCares’ overall continuum of care ensuring high quality, compassionate, and client-centered care, and collaborate across the Health & Human Services department to support program delivery.
WHAT YOU’LL DO- Deliver equitable and coordinated client-centered care that recognizes the importance of the interconnected impact of financial hardship, physical health and mental health on overall wellbeing;
- Utilize trauma-informed and strength-based approaches to provide informal counseling and guidance within the scope of the Client Manager role.
- Apply clinical acumen to review and recommend grant assistance for health, mental health, addiction recovery, and basic living needs. Balance grant administration with holistic support and community referrals.
- Utilize pathways across Health and Human Service teams to ensure individuals are connected to a continuum of care.
- Use client insights and data to continuously strengthen program and service delivery;
- Maintain familiarity and understanding of MusiCares’ annual Wellness in Music survey data to better understand emerging needs within the music community.
- Translate survey insights and client referrals into informed client care coordination while identifying opportunities to strengthen programming and advance industry-wide support strategies.
- Promote consistent, equitable and high-quality service delivery and deliver support with consistent assessment tools and application of program guidelines;
- Maintain accurate and timely confidential case records and review documentation based on organizational policy.
- Collaborate with Operations and Finance teams to implement best practices around fraud mitigation and documentation standards and engage in opportunities to ensure uniform team approaches to client assessment.
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to MusiCares’ data, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, client engagement, industry trends, and HHS compliance guidelines.
- Share client-focused trends and maintain strong understanding of MusiCares’ stewardship.
- Collaborate across organization departments as needed.
- Represent MusiCares at on-site events, support opportunities across industry engagement, and promote MusiCares programs and services for the Recording Academy and its affiliates.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE- Master’s degree in mental health, behavioral health, social services, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in mental health, behavioral health, or social services.
- Adaptability to assess areas across mental health, addiction recovery, health-related issues and general financial hardship/basic living needs.
- Commitment to maintain confidentiality and issues of privacy.
- Cultural competence and high emotional intelligence with the ability to interact with diverse communities.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, Mail Chimp, Event Bright and/or comparable creative suite software.
- Knowledge of database products and how to optimize data for reports and departmental analytics.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication and strategic thinking.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
The starting salary for this position is $83,800 to $93,000 per year, benchmarked against industry standards. Salaries for positions required to be in specific geographic locations reflect the corresponding labor market.
