About the Role

The Client Leader is responsible for managing and retaining a high-value client portfolio. The deliver strategic solutions to align with client goals, and drive customer success, value, revenue growth, and retention. They oversee Absence Management clients, foster strategic partnerships, and leverage expertise in Alight's solutions with a focus on delivering impactful outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Developing and building meaningful and trusted relationships across internal teams, customer stakeholders, and key influential third-party stakeholders.
  • Leading through influence; persuades, motivates, and inspires action toward desired outcomes.
  • Asking provocative questions to uncover and understand the client's business goals, priorities, and desired outcomes.
  • Anticipating the client's needs and effectively positioning solutions to drive value maximization, retention, and revenue growth.
  • Advocating and connecting capabilities, support, and/or services for clients. Advocates internally and facilitates the involvement of Sales, Delivery, and other functions to achieve common goals.
  • Consulting with clients regularly on best practices to increase product adoption and utilization.
  • Identifying opportunities for expansion of solutions to support and drive the client's desired business outcomes.
  • Owning the Account Health strategy for assigned client accounts. Proactively monitors and identifies client retention risk. Designs and executes success plans to resolve issues and mitigate risk.
  • Leading the strategy, preparation and execution of Quarterly Client Business Reviews (QBRs).
  • Leading the renewal strategy for assigned book of business.


Requirements
  • Have bachelor's or equivalent experience with at least 5 years in client, broker, or account relationship management for complex, high-value portfolios.
  • Demonstrate expertise in strategic client relationship management, including building and maintaining executive-level partnerships with clients, brokers, and key stakeholders.
  • Display ability to develop and execute client delivery strategies that drive customer success, operational excellence, revenue growth, retention, and client satisfaction.
  • Possess leadership and team management skills, with experience coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams. Be able to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate advanced communication, presentation, and influencing skills, including the ability to engage effectively with C-suite executives. Be able to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Have business, financial, and analytical acumen. Demonstrate the ability to interpret data, manage financial performance, identify risks, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Have experience in Absence Management services and related business operations. This should include the ability to consult clients on industry trends, best practices, compliance, and legislative changes.
  • Demonstrate ability to successfully lead in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments, balancing multiple priorities while driving high-quality outcomes and operational effectiveness.
  • Have experience overseeing cross-functional projects and client governance activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with client objectives.
  • Display advanced solution-oriented mindset and change leadership capabilities. Demonstrate ability to identify opportunities, resolve complex issues, drive innovation, and maximize the value clients receive from products and services.

Salary Pay Range

Minimum :
150,000.00 USD
Maximum :
170,000.00 USD
