Claims Account Manager - Wholesale

Location - Exton, Hartford, NYC, Chicago

As a Claims Account Manager - Wholesale, you will be responsible for claim account management functions for customers in our growing Wholesale (Programs, Excess & Surplus) business unit, helping to deliver on AXA XL Claims value in the marketplace and managing claims-related service issues for our customers, Third Party Administrators ("TPA") and key distribution partners.

What will your essential responsibilities include?
  • Representing AXA XL externally with brokers, TPA's, and customers promoting AXA XL claims value proposition to help distinguish us in the marketplace.
  • Participating in marketing and business development activities, including partnership with internal business colleagues to present AXA XL claim capabilities to brokers and prospective customers.
  • Completion of new account implementations including account profiles, and set-up meetings with new Programs, TPA's and broker partners to ensure all parties are aware of their roles and responsibilities for the program.
  • Holding client stewardship meetings to address performance of the program and opportunities for improvement, in participation with third-party claims administrators.
  • Interaction with the third-party administrator as needed to develop, implement and monitor compliance with the client specific instructions and any action plans related to performance on the claim program.
  • Management of the claim audit process, including coordinating the necessary internal and external resources to conduct audits, and leading the audit wrap-up meeting.
  • Conduct meetings with clients as necessary to resolve issues and manage the ongoing client relationship.
  • Interaction with the Claims Technical Team on individual losses. Proactive communication with internal and external stakeholders to deliver optimal claims service.

In this role, you will report to the Head of Wholesale Claims.

We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Diverse claims background, ideally with multiline experience; proven expertise in handling and/or supervising claims; demonstrated experience negotiating and settling complex claim files.
  • Possesses effective analytical skills and sound judgment. Takes initiative and can self-direct.
  • Ability to travel - there is an estimate of 25% travel.
  • Excellent understanding of Programs as well as Excess & Surplus business. Demonstrated experience with Third Party Administrator interactions.
  • Operational expertise, familiar with requisite data demands and analytics in support of claims, underwriting and actuarial groups.
  • High dedication to customer service, including professionalism and diplomacy in broker and insured relations.
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written - as well as collaboration, presentation and influencing skills. Able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of sophistication. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and efficiently juggle numerous concurrent responsibilities.
  • Ethics: has an impeccable reputation for ethics, integrity, and the highest standards of professionalism.
  • Education: Undergraduate degree required; insurance designation(s) (CPCU, AIC, ARM) preferred.

The U.S. base salary range for this position is USD $139,300-$219,300.

Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual's skills, experience and location. We strive for market alignment and internal equity with our colleagues' pay.
