Job Summary

Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead and scale our Rx engineering organization in the next chapter of innovation and growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and mentoring high-performing teams, delivering innovative products and services, and driving operational excellence. Deep experience with AI and machine learning is essential, including a passion for leveraging large language models (LLMs) to accelerate product innovation, enhance efficiency, and unlock new capabilities across the business. As a key member of the executive team, the CTO will provide strategic thought leadership, partnering with the CEO and C-suite to shape the company's technology roadmap. This leader must set a high bar for accountability and inspire a culture of excellence, execution, and continuous improvement within the engineering organization. In addition, the CTO will be responsible for identifying and addressing technical debt, evolving our infrastructure, and implementing scalable systems and processes to improve engineering productivity and enable sustained velocity.
Job Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and Champion FuzeRx's Technology Vision and Strategy: Take the lead in shaping FuzeRx's future, leveraging your deep expertise in AI, machine learning, and large language models (LLMs) to drive innovation, efficiency, and new capabilities across the business.
  • Ensure Scalability, Reliability, and Security: Oversee FuzeRx's technology infrastructure to ensure it scales effectively, operates seamlessly, and maintains high standards of security as the company grows and evolves.
  • Drive Strategic Alignment: Collaborate closely with the CEO and C-suite to define company strategy, shaping FuzeRx's technology roadmap to align with overarching business goals and driving key performance metrics.
  • Own the Tech Development Lifecycle: Lead the engineering organization through the end-to-end product development lifecycle, consistently delivering innovative products that meet or exceed customer expectations and create meaningful impact.
  • Inspire a World-Class Technology Organization: Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team, setting a high bar for accountability and execution, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Establish and Execute Product Roadmaps: Set priorities and drive product roadmaps that enable exponential growth and transform the patient experience, ensuring alignment with both short-term and long-term business objectives.
  • Champion User-Centric Design: Drive solutions that directly address critical challenges for patients and healthcare professionals, using innovative technology to improve healthcare delivery.
  • Establish and Evangelize Best Practices: Lead the charge in establishing best practices across the technology organization, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence in execution.
  • Evolve FuzeRx's Platform Architecture: Oversee the continuous evolution of FuzeRx's platform, anticipating market needs and implementing scalable systems and processes that drive sustained productivity and velocity.
  • Identify and Integrate Cutting-Edge Technologies: Stay at the forefront of technological advancements, identifying and integrating cutting-edge technologies that enhance FuzeRx's offerings and strengthen its competitive edge.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with product, science, and business teams to ensure technology initiatives are aligned with company goals, ensuring seamless execution of strategic priorities across the organization.
  • Develop and Mentor the Next Generation of Leaders: Invest in developing high-potential leaders and technical talent, building a strong leadership pipeline and nurturing the next generation of technology leaders at FuzeRx.
  • Drive Communication and Collaboration: Ensure effective communication and collaboration across all teams to facilitate flawless execution of strategic priorities, ensuring alignment and synergy throughout the organization.


Required Experience & Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or closely-related technical field.
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience across product, engineering, and data science functions, with at least seven years in executive roles at a high-growth startup or a large, complex technology organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and scale high-performing, cross-functional global teams of 100+ across engineering, data science and product, including experience managing remote or distributed teams.
  • Proven track record of scaling customer-facing digital products or platforms from early stages to significant user base, with quantifiable impact on key business metrics (e.g., revenue, market share, customer acquisition cost, retention).
  • Deep understanding of modern software development methodologies, data analytics, and AI/ML frameworks and their application in a business context.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), modern front-end frameworks (React and React Native), and API-first design principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive product and technology innovation that has resulted in significant improvements in business outcomes (e.g., increased customer satisfaction, market share, revenue, or operational efficiency).
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences, including board members and investors.
  • Proven experience leading Agile teams and driving cross-functional collaboration to deliver on complex product and technology roadmaps. Experience with OKRs or other performance management frameworks is a plus.
  • Thrive in a highly regulated healthcare technology environment
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time


Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Deep and demonstrable experience in healthcare technology, specifically within the pharmacy industry or related healthcare systems. A proven track record of navigating complex regulatory landscapes (e.g., HIPAA, FDA) is a significant advantage.
  • Extensive experience with SaaS platforms, subscription-based models, and ideally, B2B2C business models within a regulated industry. Experience scaling a B2B2C platform is highly desirable.
  • Proven success in leading and scaling technology organizations through periods of hypergrowth and significant transformation, including experience with mergers and acquisitions or other major strategic events. Demonstrated ability to anticipate and adapt to rapidly changing market dynamics is essential.
  • Exceptional product sense, with a demonstrated ability to translate business needs into innovative technology solutions that delight users and drive business growth. Experience with product-led growth strategies is a plus.

Additional Physical Job Requirements

Physical requirements for this role include the ability to work at a computer terminal with monitor, keyboard and mouse for extended periods of time, stoop, bend, and reach for equipment and supplies, make frequent repetitive motions required to operate a computer that include the wrists, hands and fingers, and lift, carry, push, pull, and move light objects up to 20 pounds. The role also requires the ability to effectively communicate through verbal interactions, discern auditory information, and visually perceive details to perform essential job functions.

Salary and Benefits

Salary Range: $375,000 - $400,000
