JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Chief Operations Officer reports to the Chief Executive Officer with primary responsibility for the oversight of the organizations line operations. The role provides leadership and strategic vision to the organization and is vital to driving results for the organization. Oversee the day-to-day operations including Residential, Day Habilitation, Community Habilitation, Respite, Employment Services, and Clinical Operations (Nursing, Psychology, Crisis) with a focus on optimizing performance, processes and policies as well as setting up and monitoring KPI's for the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's Degree in a related field
  • Five years of profound experience in operations oversight, leadership development, data analytics and building relationships with business and government partners.
  • Experience with OPWDD and Justice Center compliance regulations and regulatory policy
  • Program leadership experience at the Director level of a non-profit organizations and vulnerable needs populations
  • Exhibit core abilities including relationship building, communication, problem-solving, time-management, leadership, emotional intelligence, decision making, prioritization and delegation
  • Intermediate MS Teams and practical experience with databases
  • Valid NYS driver's license & ability to travel as needed
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Leadership
  • Drive program development through risk assessments, reviewing opportunities for expansion, measuring
  • Participate in business and strategic planning
  • Ensure dedication to excellence in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families and the Life's WORC workforce
  • Promote a culture of quality and innovation
  • Maintain a strong and constructive working relationship with Life's WORC's Board of Directors

Operations Oversight - Guide and supervise the program departments of the organization
  • Residential - Run care, crisis, behavioral and RN residential function. Provide strategic oversight to residential teams.
  • Day Hab, Comm. Hab, Employment Services & Respite- Oversee care and outcomes for the non-residential functions, providing strategic oversight (including relevant crisis, behavioral and RN residential functions).
  • Quality Assurance - Oversight of related program protocols, compliance standards, risk management and protection of fiscal liabilities.
  • Person Centered Support - Integrating and expanding philosophy throughout the organization
  • Coordinate inter and intradepartmental operations
  • Develop systems and protocols consistent with regulatory guidance and organization best practice standards.

Data Analytics and Reporting
  • Establish benchmarks and KPI's to monitor operations of organization with analysis and reporting
  • Maintain compliance with all appropriate legal, regulatory and programmatic requirements or accreditation bodies
  • Report monthly, quarterly and annually on organizational data.
