Job Description:

The Program Director is responsible for the overall leadership, administration, organization, evaluation, continuous assessment, and accreditation of the Radiologic Technology Program. The Program Director ensures compliance with JRCERT Standards, institutional policies, state and federal regulations, and professional practice standards while promoting student and program success.

Job Responsibilities:

35%- Assure effective program operations

30%-Oversee ongoing program accreditation and assessment processes

15%- Assume the leadership role in the continued development of the program.

10%-Maintain current knowledge of the professional discipline and educational methodologies through continuing professional development
5%- Participate in budget planning

5%-Participate in didactic and/or clinical instruction, as appropriate

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in a related field from a regionally accredited institution

3 years' clinical experience in the professional discipline; 2 years' experience as an instructor in a JRCERTaccredited program

Demonstrated proficiency in curriculum design, curriculum evaluation, instruction, program administration, academic advising, outcomes assessment, and JRCERT accreditation standards and processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ph.D.

Doctorate (Ph.D., Ed.D., or related terminal degree) preferred

5 years' clinical experience in the professional discipline; 5 years' experience as an instructor in a JRCERTaccredited program

Demonstrated mastering in curriculum design, curriculum evaluation, instruction, program administration, academic advising, outcomes assessment, and JRCERT accreditation standards and processes.

Special and Physical Qualifications:

Holds current certification and registration in Radiography through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and possesses an unrestricted Louisiana radiographer license (LSRTBE).

Certifications and Licenses:

RRT Certification and Registration in Radiography, R.T.(R)(ARRT)

Current certification and registration in Radiography

Louisiana State Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners (LSRTBE) License

Current unrestricted Louisiana Radiographer License
