Summary:
JOB SUMMARY
Provides executive leadership and oversight for the organization's daily operational and business functions. Responsible for executing the company's business strategies, optimizing efficiency and productivity, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering cross-functional collaboration. Acts as a key advisor to the CEO and Board, driving growth, innovation, and organizational transformation.
MINIMUM MANAGEMENT SKILL
People manager (manager of people): Responsible for managing and developing one or more employees by fostering a positive work culture, promoting open communication and providing clear goals, direction and performance coaching and development to achieve key departmental objectives aligned with the mission of Habitat for Humanity International.
Key Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1) Develops and implements operational strategies, business plans, and policies to achieve organizational objectives and drive sustainable growth.
2) Oversees the management and performance of all core business operations, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and regulatory requirements.
3) Leads, mentors, and manages senior operational leaders, promoting a culture of accountability, high performance, and continuous improvement.
4) Monitors operational metrics, analyzes performance data, and implements process improvements to optimize efficiency, quality, and profitability.
5) Drives cross-functional collaboration among departments to enhance customer experience, innovation, and organizational agility.
6) Manages resource allocation, budget control, and risk management to ensure fiscal discipline and operational resilience.
7) Advises the CEO and Board on operational risks, opportunities, and key business initiatives.
8) Represents the company at industry events, with partners, regulators, and in public forums to enhance reputation and build strategic relationships.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Typically requires advanced university degree. Generally minimum of 15+ years of related professional experience; 7+ years managing a specific area.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
MBA or equivalent advanced degree. Proven track record as COO or senior operational executive in a multinational organization; experience leading large-scale business transformations; advanced certifications in operations, project management, or process improvement (e.g., Six Sigma); and demonstrated expertise in digital transformation, innovation, and cross-functional leadership.
Hiring Range:
The actual salary offered for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including location, internal equity and the candidate's qualifications and professional experience. HFHI offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package that varies by country and typically includes vacation leave, sick leave, personal days, health insurance options, retirement plan contributions and life insurance. For work locations in the US, the annual hiring range for this position is:
