Chief Operating Officer (COO) - Forza Commercial Real EstateThe Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Forza Commercial Real Estate provides executive leadership and drives execution of the organization's strategy and annual business plan. This role oversees the Director of Acquisitions and Development, Director of Construction, and the Property Management team, ensuring alignment across business development, construction execution, and property operations. The COO reports to the Rehab Industries (RI) Board, alongside the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and is ultimately accountable for operational excellence and the successful execution of the company's annual business plan.
Key Responsibilities- Executive Leadership
- Execute of company's goals, and strategic priorities established by Rehab Industries Partnership and Forza Strategy Team.
- Ensure all departments are aligned with organizational objectives, timelines, and financial targets.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, collaboration, and performance excellence across the organization.
- Business Development Oversight (Director of Acquisitions & Development)
- Lead and guide the Director of real estate development in sourcing, underwriting, and executing new investment opportunities.
- Review and approve major acquisition and investment recommendations, ensuring alignment with company objectives, risk tolerance, and long-term company strategy and present qualified opportunities to Forza CFO and Rehab Industries Board.
- Construction Oversight (Director of Construction)
- Provide leadership, oversight, and accountability for the Director of Construction across both pre- and post-acquisition development activities.
- Ensure construction and development projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with established quality standards.
- Oversee capital improvement planning and execution across the entire real estate portfolio.
- Property Management Oversight (Property Management Team)
- Provide direct oversight of the Property Management team, ensuring all properties operate within budget, remain stabilized, and maintain positive cash flow.
- Partner with the CFO to monitor property-level financial performance against established goals and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Cross Department Coordination & Communication
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among Finance, Acquisitions, Construction, Property Management, and Legal.
- Lead regular executive and departmental meetings to review progress, identify risks, and prioritize initiatives.
- Promote a collaborative, results-driven culture that supports the company's mission, vision, and long-term goals.
