Chief of Staff at Handoff

We're hiring a Chief of Staff to serve as the executive arm of our COO and help translate leadership strategy into company-wide execution. In this role you'll own Handoff's operating system - from cycle planning and KPI dashboards to financial modeling, board materials, and high-priority special projects.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution, isn't fazed by ambiguity, and wants to operate at all levels of a fast-scaling startup.

What you'll do

  • Facilitate Handoff's departmental planning process - driving submissions, tracking progress, and holding teams accountable
  • Maintain and continuously improve company-wide dashboards, KPIs, and operational tooling
  • Support the COO on board decks, investor updates, and executive materials
  • Build and maintain financial models; help prepare analysis for key business decisions
  • Track departmental budgets and flag spend variances to the COO
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and renewals
  • Codify work norms and operating standards as the company scales
  • Assist with prep and logistics for company all-hands meetings and recurring leadership syncs
  • Assist with planning & execution of internal events and company off-sites


About you

  • Background in investment banking, venture capital, consulting, or an early-stage startup
  • Comfortable operating at both the strategic and tactical level simultaneously - you can build a board deck in the morning and chase down a contract renewal in the afternoon
  • Financial modeling skills - you build from scratch, not just edit templates
  • Strong written communicator - your memos and decks are clear, tight, and ready to send
  • Experience in high-growth startup environments preferred
