iGaming Ontario is seeking a Chief of Staff and Head of Strategy to serve as a trusted partner, strategic advisor, and force multiplier to the President and CEO. This high-impact leadership role sits at the centre of the organization, helping translate the CEO's vision into action and strengthen governance, alignment and coordination across the enterprise.
The role leads the Office of the CEO and is responsible for the development, execution, monitoring, and refinement of corporate strategic and business plans, while also overseeing the agency's strategic communications function. The Chief of Staff also manages the organization's non-Board corporate governance framework and oversees critical enabling functions, including government relations, to support organizational priorities and long-term success.
Reporting to the President and CEO you will: - Serve as a trusted strategic advisor and day-to-day partner to the President and CEO, helping focus executive attention, surface emerging issues, and translate priorities into clear action.
- Lead the Office of the CEO, ensuring effective executive operations, governance processes, briefing materials, and coordinated follow-through across senior leadership.
- Drive iGaming Ontario's strategic planning, business planning, annual reporting, enterprise performance measurement, and project-management functions.
- Lead iGaming Ontario's relationship with government partners on policy, oversight, financial, and strategic matters.
- Provide strategic leadership for internal and external communications, including executive communications, stakeholder messaging, issues management, and CEO profile-building.
- Foster alignment across the Executive Committee, Senior Leadership Team, and key governance forums to support informed decision-making, accountability, and delivery of corporate priorities.
The ideal candidate will have: - Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Law, Economics, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Senior-level experience leading strategic planning, business planning, and performance measurement frameworks that translate priorities into clear goals, measures, and results.
- Strong strategic communications background, including executive communications, issues management, and the ability to shape clear narratives for internal and external audiences.
- Highly developed leadership, organizational, and relationship-management skills, with the ability to influence peers, align teams, and support effective decision-making.
- High degree of political acuity, sound judgment, and discretion, with experience navigating complex public-sector, regulatory, and stakeholder environments.
- Proven ability to provide clear, candid advice to senior executives, balancing constructive challenge with trust, judgment, and alignment to organizational priorities.
- Familiarity with the gaming industry, including casino gambling and sports wagering, is an asset.
