Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer/Chief Architect to lead our Technology Development Engineering Divisions in delivering high-quality solutions. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving process rigor in engineering, quality, safety, risk management, and top tech issues management.
As a Chief Engineer/Chief Architect, your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:
• Develop and implement engineering processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices
• Lead cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver complex mechanical, electrical, optical hardware and AI/ML software solutions.
• Coordinate with Technical Directors, Program Managers and Business Development Leads to oversee and execute the development of technical roadmaps and strategies to drive innovation and growth across the Business Unit.
• Drive quality, safety, and environmental standards and compliance across the Business Unit and Business Group(s).
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with engineering projects, oversee Change Boards, present status and recommendations at monthly reviews to include Government customers.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve top technical issues and drive continuous improvement
Qualifications:
• U.S. Citizenship
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles.
• Active Secret Clearance is required with ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
• Proven track record of driving process rigor in cross-functional high performing engineering teams.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 15+ years of related experience
• Experience with AS9100 and ISO14001 standards.
• Experience leading the development and manufacturing of flight and safety-critical hardware products.
• Experience developing and executing highly compelling IR&D programs.
• Demonstrated experience in creating and sustaining new hardware/software product business lines and familiarity with other markets.
• Active Top-Secret clearance.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
