Chief Engineer-Defense-Onsite Position

We are growing and looking for a Chief Engineer to join our team in Santa Clarita, CA.

As our Chief Engineer you will be an industry-recognized expert in an engineering discipline or specialty area. You will have created or significantly changed technology over at least a decade of time and continues to lead the business' technical growth.

Salary Range: $ 166,700.00 - 222,300.00 USD annual per year plus bonus

Your Challenge:
  • Develops preliminary and conceptual design processes and studies as well as the continuity of design details of a specific engineering discipline or specialty area, providing expert advice and direction to other professionals. (20%)
  • Advises on and performs research or other professional and scientific work in one or more engineering disciplines and uses expert knowledge to contribute to systems philosophies and design objectives. (20%)
  • Conceives and develops solutions to the most complex analytical, design, and test problems that program(s) experience. Analyzes and resolves important failures in test and service, often without recourse to intense theoretical studies and test programs. Applies new, innovative, or experimental engineering theories using mathematical techniques to analyze and evaluate scientific engineering problems. (20%)
  • Writes and publishes complex reports and results in scientific journals and conference proceedings, presenting work at scientific conferences and review meetings and contributing to written documentation of planned and accomplished research for internal purposes. (20%)
  • Leads the business' technical growth and ensures technology continuity, participating with management on succession planning and mentoring of experienced engineers. (20%)
