POSITION SUMMARY:Drivesthe development and execution of business plans and strategic programs at theGreater Orlando Aviation Authority including planning, design, construction,noise-abatement and continuous-improvement initiatives, while ensuring fullcompliance with FAA, CBP, environmental and other regulatory requirements. Thisrole owns all compliance reporting, multi-million-dollar budgets and contracts;spearheads cost-savings measures; and fosters an ethical, customer-focusedculture. As the department's ambassador, the Chief Executive Officer buildsstrong partnerships with airlines, tenants, federal agencies and localcommunities; develops and mentors a high-performing team; and translatescomplex operational strategies into clear, measurable outcomes.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration or related field and ten (10) years directly related experience in airport/airline operations, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Minimum of five (5) years experience in management and leadership roles that include directing and oversight of staff in multiple airport operations areas and emergency response operations required. Experience with FAR 139 and 49 CFR part 1542 compliance required.
- Demonstrated skill in analyzing, developing and implementing complex operational initiatives
- Excellent public relations skills to act as an ambassador for the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority
- Able to interpret and compile statistical data, prepare detailed reports, contracts, and analyze legal and financial documents
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong presentation skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in English
- Executive management and leadership skills
- Strong contract and negotiation skills
- Experience with regulatory compliance required including FAR 139 and 49 CFR part 1542
- Knowledge of applicable regulations including but not limited to: Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements including noise and emergency operations;
- Knowledge of Federal Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requirements including international flight and passenger movements, handling of international trash and environmental regulations including Florida Department of Environmental Protection and South Florida Water Management District requirements
- Basic computer skills
- Efficient and effectivetime management skills
- Valid Florida driver's license
- American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) credential(s) preferred
