Full Job Description
Position Title: CHIEF BUILDING ENGINEER - LIQUID COOLING

Salary: $115,000 - $120,000

Pay Grade: 16

Other Forms of Compensation: BONUS

Job Summary

The Chief Building Engineer serves as the on-site engineering leader with full accountability for the delivery of Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) services, including hard services, critical infrastructure, and advanced liquid cooling systems supporting high-density compute environments. This role provides technical leadership, team management, and operational oversight to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient facility performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the safety of all operating equipment within the facility
  • Develop and train all staff in plant and emergency procedures
  • Handle the procurement of all repair parts for routine preventative, and emergency repairs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors
  • Develop a plant wide Preventative maintenance schedule for all building, process equipment, and all plant utilities
  • Maintain the departmental budget with focus on parts, supplies and labor management
  • Assure compliance with all wastewater and emissions standards
  • Oversee outside contractors in the repairs and upkeep of plant equipment
  • Available for off-site, plants startups and special projects


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or military experience is preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations
  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
  • Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment
  • Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership
  • Must be capable of reading electrical schematics, mechanical, and plumbing blue prints
  • Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Good working knowledge all aspects of plant maintenance to include but not limited to; Electrical, Boilers, Hydraulics, Compressed Air, Mechanical Equipment
