The Role:

General Description:

Responsible. for helping design then lead process development and troubleshooting existing products. Should be able to work independently with general guidance. May guide work of technicians

How You Will Make an Impact:

Key Job Responsibility 1: Process Development
  • Conduct process development as directed by the Process Technology Manager
  • Provide effectively written and verbal reports as required.
  • Provide technical service to both internal and external customers through the resolution of quality problems and customer complaints related to the chemical characteristics of our products
  • Conduct research with minimum supervision and achieve the goals agreed to by mutual consent with Process Technology Manager
  • Participate in Process Hazard Analysis of new and existing site processes
  • Handles multiple assignments and coordinates with others.
  • Suggests alternative approaches within the scope of the experiment or project/process.
  • Becomes familiar with the technology of the functional unit or area.
  • Guide daily activities of technicians.


Key Job Responsibility 2: Project Management
  • Provide technical and hands-on support for plant operations and customers as required.
  • Carry out special projects in support of R&D and Manufacturing as directed by the Process Technology Management


Key Job Responsibility 3: Maintain Compliance
  • Adhere to company EH&S regulations, SI Group Responsible Care practices and ISO 9000 programs
  • Maintain a clean and safe laboratory and working environment.
  • Works with supervision to ensure data integrity and verify that their work is correct.
  • Maintains established quality control documentation.
  • Report any situation believed to present a risk to health and safety of self and others.
  • Accomplishes all EHS training requirements in accordance with their scheduling.
  • Is knowledgeable of hazardous/non-hazardous waste generation practices.
