Job Summary

As a National Partner Channel Solutions Consultant 2, you will serve as the senior technical leader for Palo Alto Networks' largest and most strategic reseller partners. This national-scope role focuses on scaling partner technical capability, building Palo Alto Networks-based security practices, and enabling partner-led services that drive long-term growth.

You will operate as a trusted technical advisor to Channel Business Managers, partner executive leadership, practice owners, and senior architects-guiding partners beyond transactional sales toward differentiated security practices, repeatable service offerings, and technical excellence built on the Palo Alto Networks Platform.

Success in this role requires strong partner relationships, broad technical knowledge across the Palo Alto Networks Platform, the ability to establish a clear Palo Alto Networks solution bias, and proven experience enabling the design, launch, and maturation of partner security practices across the full lifecycle, including sales, presales, delivery, and managed services.

This is a senior individual contributor role offering high autonomy, broad influence, and accountability for driving partner outcomes at scale. Travel is required as needed to support partner-facing meetings, technical enablement sessions, and strategic events.

Your Impact

Strategic Partner Leadership

Serve as the primary national technical leader for assigned strategic partners, guiding the development and maturity of partner security practices across sales, presales, delivery, and managed services.

Executive Influence & Relationships

Build trusted relationships with partner executive leadership, practice owners, and services executives, influencing technical strategy, investment priorities, and practice focus areas aligned to Palo Alto Networks Platforms.

Technical Strategy & Orchestration

Act as the technical quarterback by setting direction, aligning resources, and orchestrating partner enablement efforts across technical sellers, architects, and services teams.

Partner Services Enablement

Guide and enable the creation of partner-led services, including assessment offerings, implementation frameworks, operational runbooks, and managed security services, with a focus on repeatability and scale.

Enablement at Scale

Design and deliver advanced, mentorship-style enablement that goes beyond product training, enabling partner technical sellers and services teams to effectively position, operationalize, and lifecycle Palo Alto Networks solutions.

Cross-Functional Alignment

Partner with Channel Business Managers, sales leadership, and marketing to align partner technical readiness with go-to-market priorities, pipeline growth, and services-led outcomes.

Escalation & Strategic Guidance

Serve as a senior point of guidance for complex technical challenges, providing strategic direction and best practices while enabling partners and field teams to execute.

Qualifications

Your Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in partner solution consulting, systems engineering, security architecture, or a related technical role within enterprise technology or cybersecurity.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, such as extensive partner-facing technical leadership, security solution consulting, or security practice leadership in enterprise environments.
  • Relevant certifications preferred, including Palo Alto Networks Professional-level certifications (Network Security, Security Operations, or Cloud Security), CISSP, and cloud certifications from AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience working with top-tier national VARs or large systems integrators is a plus.


Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below.
