OVERVIEW The
Retail Channel Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing channel-specific growth strategies that strengthen Libbey's position in the Retail market. This role serves as a strategic connector between Sales, Product, Category, Brand Marketing, and customers to deliver compelling assortments, customer-focused solutions, and category-leading experiences that drive profitable growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES - Develop and execute annual channel strategies aligned with Libbey commercial priorities and growth objectives.
- Partner with Sales, Product, and Brand Marketing to identify and execute growth opportunities.
- Build a deep understanding of assigned retail channels, customers, category trends, and shopper behaviors.
- Translate customer, category, and market insights into actionable business recommendations.
- Serve as a strategic partner to Sales on customer planning, line reviews, and promotional initiatives.
- Partner with Product teams on assortment strategy, innovation, and portfolio development.
- Analyze sales, profitability, market share, and ROI performance to guide decision making.
- Lead retail trade show and channel activation efforts.
- Collaborate across Sales, Marketing, Product, Supply Chain, Customer Experience, and Finance.
- Champion a One Libbey approach that fosters collaboration, accountability, and shared success.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field required; MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in Channel Marketing, Category Management, Product Marketing, Commercial Strategy, or related commercial roles.
- Demonstrated success developing and executing strategies that drive revenue, profitability, and market share.
- Strong business, financial, and analytical acumen.
- Ability to constructively challenge assumptions, advocate for a point of view, and use data and insights to influence decisions while maintaining strong working relationships.
- Proven ability to build credibility across commercial teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Comfortable balancing customer needs, business objectives, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, presentation, storytelling, and relationship-building skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and business analytics tools.
