Four (4) years of full-time experience supporting or leading organizational change management initiatives, transformation programs, or project-based change efforts involving process, technology, or organizational change. Preferred Qualifications:Advanced degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Prosci Change Management Certification or Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP). Experience working within higher education or state institutions. Experience supporting large-scale transformation initiatives such as ERP, HRIS, payroll, or enterprise system implementations. Experience conducting change impact and readiness assessments. Experience designing and delivering organizational communications supporting change initiatives. Experience supporting training programs or organizational learning initiatives. Experience developing metrics and reporting to monitor change adoption and organizational readiness. Experience supporting organizational change and process improvement initiatives within large, complex, or decentralized environments.
Brief Description of Duties:The Change Manager will lead and support organizational change initiatives by developing and implementing change management strategies, stakeholder engagement plans, and communication efforts that promote employee readiness, adoption, and long-term sustainability. The Change Manager will partner with leadership, project teams, and stakeholders to assess impacts, support training and engagement efforts, monitor adoption metrics, and facilitate a positive employee experience throughout transformation initiatives. The incumbent must demonstrate the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at multiple organizational levels as well as possess strong communication and facilitation skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear and actionable messaging.
- Strategy, Planning, and Communication:
- Develop and execute change management strategies supporting enterprise transformation initiatives.
- Conduct change impact assessments and readiness evaluations to identify how organizational initiatives affect employees, departments, and processes.
- Develop and implement change management plans including stakeholder engagement strategies, communication strategies, and adoption monitoring approaches.
- Develop and maintain change-related documentation including SOPs, workflow guidance, and knowledge resources to support organizational understanding and long-term sustainability of new processes or systems.
- Design and manage change champion or change network programs to support organizational engagement and adoption.
- Design and deliver communication strategies that translate complex project information into clear messaging for diverse audiences
- Develop executive-ready communications, presentations, and briefing materials that support leadership engagement and reinforce change messaging across the organization.
- Collaborate with training teams and subject matter experts to support the development of training strategies and align learning initiatives with change adoption goals.
- Support the transition of initiatives to operational ownership and ensure change sustainability following implementation.
- Develop and maintain change-related documentation including SOPs, workflow guidance, and knowledge resources to support organizational understanding and long-term sustainability of new processes or systems.
- Support a positive employee experience during transformation initiatives by ensuring individuals understand upcoming changes, have access to resources, and feel supported throughout the transition.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and operational practices during transformation initiatives to support sustainable adoption and long-term organizational effectiveness.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership Support:
- Identify and analyze impacted stakeholders across departments and functional areas and develop strategies to engage them throughout the change lifecycle.
- Facilitate collaborative stakeholder discussions, workshops, and feedback sessions to gather input, address concerns, and strengthen engagement throughout the change lifecycle.
- Coach managers and supervisors to support their teams through organizational change.
- Partner with project managers, HR teams, and functional leaders to align change management plans with project timelines and organizational priorities.
- Measurement & Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor stakeholder feedback, adoption metrics, and readiness indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of change initiatives.
- Administer surveys, feedback mechanisms, and other tools to assess change readiness and organizational engagement.
- Recommend reinforcement strategies and continuous improvement opportunities to sustain adoption and long-term change success.
- Document lessons learned and support continuous improvement of change management processes, tools, and methodologies within the Office of Change Management.
- Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission.
Special Notes:This is a full-time appointment. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
In addition to the employee's base salary, this position is eligible for $4,000 UUP annual location pay, paid biweekly.
