Full Job Description

"I can succeed as the Change Activation Manager - Content at Capital Group."

We're asking Capital to change how we work, right now around AI and data, and next around whatever comes after. That takes a constant stream of stories, presentations, executive communications, examples, talking points, FAQs, QBR content, and strategic narratives. The problem we're about to create for ourselves is how we keep all of it consistent. As the volume grows, the risk is that we become the source of the inconsistency we're trying to fix. Slightly different messages appear in different decks. Leaders receive conflicting examples. Stories get repeated to the same audiences while other powerful examples sit unused. We spend our time reacting and recreating because we no longer know what we've already said, to whom, and why.

This role creates the system that keeps our content coherent. Part editor, part strategist, part librarian, you make sure every story, message, example, and communication builds on what came before and strengthens the narrative we're building.

What you'll do

  • Own the editorial strategy for AI and data across communications, presentations, stories, executive messaging, QBRs, events, and other channels.
  • Maintain a clear view of the whole content ecosystem. Know what we've published, what we've told different audiences, who needs what message next, what messages are gaining traction, and where gaps or inconsistencies exist.
  • Build and maintain systems that make content reusable and discoverable. When someone needs a story, executive example, data point, case study, or proof point, you know where to find it and whether it's the right fit.
  • Run the content library like a product. Its users are leaders and content creators across the firm. Know what they need, how they look for it, and where it lets them down, and keep improving it.
  • Act as the steward of narrative consistency. Identify conflicting messages, overlapping content, and opportunities to simplify and strengthen our story.
  • Own the data and DxP wins story engine. Actively source, shape, and recirculate stories of data outcomes, including Marketplace and Wave 1 asset reuse, domain-led wins, and steward and owner examples, so data progress is as visible and as well told as AI progress. This is how DxP moves from DxP-led to domain-led: domains see peers recognized for outcomes, not for compliance. Partner with the DxP and EDO teams to keep the pipeline full rather than waiting for stories to arrive.
  • Curate and continuously update a portfolio of examples, success stories, use cases, proof points, and executive narratives that can be deployed across communications and events, working with ECO and Global Comms on CGweb and SharePoint.
  • Advise leaders and content creators on message selection and audience context. What have we already told this audience? What examples have they seen? What story would work best now?
  • Edit and refine content across formats for clarity, consistency, and alignment with our broader change objectives.
  • Create scalable content operations, using AI wherever possible, so we can manage growing volume without losing quality, coherence, or institutional memory.
  • Set up a simple way to take in requests and set priorities, so the team can say yes, not now, or no with confidence.
  • Measure whether the system works: are people finding and reusing content, and is duplicate work going down?

"I am the person Capital Group is looking for."

  • You think in systems. You naturally organize complexity and create structure where others see chaos. You're as interested in how content is managed as in how it's created.
  • You're an exceptional editor. You spot inconsistencies, repetition, weak logic, and unclear messaging quickly. You make content stronger without making it sound like you.
  • You're a strategist, not a traffic manager. You step back and judge whether a story, example, or message is advancing the narrative we're building.
  • You have strong journalistic instincts. You know what makes a story relevant, credible, and worth telling. You ask good questions and find the underlying idea that matters.
  • You build institutional memory. You remember what was said, why it mattered, and how it connects to future work, and you create systems so the organization doesn't have to rely on your memory alone.
  • You understand Capital. You know the audiences, leaders, and context well enough to recognize when a message will land and when it won't.
  • You help others work smarter. Your success isn't how much content you personally create. It's whether everyone else can find, use, and build on the right content at the right time.
  • You keep improving what you build. You've run a tool, library, or process other people depend on, and you kept making it better after launch.

Where you'll focus first

AI, data, and DxP, our three largest narrative portfolios today. You'll build the content system, editorial discipline, and institutional memory to support those transformations at scale, in a way that can expand to future enterprise change work. Data is not a secondary portfolio here. DxP and EDO are mid-transition, and their story engine is the mechanism that makes domain ownership feel real. That accountability sits with WYK today and cannot be carried by one person alongside everything else. This role is how it becomes a system rather than an act of will.
