Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program and First Assistant program.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Expertise in sterilization techniques and operating room instrumentation.
• Minimum of two years of experience as an OR Scrub Technician.
• Certification as a Surgical Technician and CSFA required.
• BLS certification is mandatory within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide intraoperative assistance in exposure, hemostasis, and closure.
• Perform preoperative setup and postoperative breakdown of the operating room.
• Exhibit expert knowledge of sterile techniques and instrumentation.
• Assist the surgeon directly during procedures under supervision.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, laws, and regulations.
