Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)

Earn $1,206 - $1,623/week (3x12s) | Night Shift | Full-Time
Includes base pay of $33.50 - $45.09/hr + opportunities for shift differentials

Department: Cardiopulmonary / Respiratory Therapy

Location: Chicago Metro Area, Illinois - big-city lifestyle, strong healthcare market, no car required, lakefront living.

Responsibilities

In the absence of a supervisor, the CRT/RCP I may serve as Lead RCP, overseeing operations during their shift.
  • Provide respiratory care and pulmonary therapy per physician orders
  • Manage mechanical ventilation, oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and airway management
  • Perform and interpret arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis
  • Conduct pulmonary diagnostic procedures and patient assessments
  • Implement patient-specific care plans
  • Document patient care, interventions, and outcomes accurately
  • Serve as Lead RCP in the absence of a supervisor
  • Respond to critical care situations and emergencies
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams


Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required
2. Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
3. 2 years experience as a RCP preferred.
4. ACLS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current
5. NRP certificate preferred
6. PALS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current.
7. Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred
8. High School Diploma or equivalent is required
