Primary Duties and Responsibilities

As a Phlebotomist of the Support Services Laboratory, your duties include:
• Performs pre-analytical and post-analytical activities and specimen processing duties
• Performs phlebotomy on inpatients and outpatients, including neonatal/pediatric patients; perform EKG in outpatient setting
• Triage all lab samples and requests after verification of appropriate information
• Enter and verify patient and test info into computer
• Generate computer labels for specimens and deliver to appropriate areas
• Prepare samples for transport to referral labs
• Document draws, added tests, and cancelled/rejected specimens

Salary Range: $36.17 - $45.86/hour

Job Qualifications

• At least two(2) years of recent licensed phlebotomy experience in high volume hospital setting
• Previous experience performing specimen processing in an acute care facility, highly preferred
• Previous experience in EPIC, highly preferred
• Knowledge of Clinical Lab test names and their abbreviated forms
• Ability to multi-task with accuracy
• Excellent time and organizational skills
• Skill in using a computer and printer
