We are currently searching for an experienced
CEI Senior Project Engineer to support our
Southeast Region located in
Pensacola, FL.
To be considered for this position, applicants musthave, at minimum, a Civil Engineering degree.
What you'll be doing:- Lead with confidence: Direct construction engineering administration and inspection programs.
- Drive success: Plan and organize team workflows; develop and refine project-specific policies, methods, and procedures.
- Ensure excellence: Review programs for compliance with client standards and deliver top-tier results.
- Shape the future: Identify and pursue new opportunities while fostering strong client partnerships for ongoing and future projects.
- Be the expert: Prepare proposals and cost estimates, review technical work and reports, and provide guidance to team members.
- Own the outcome: Manage projects to meet schedules and budgets, with periodic site visits to ensure everything is on track.
What you need to have:- Civil Engineering degree
- Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Florida
- 6 years of progressive experience in Major Road and Bridge Construction
- Familiarity with FDOT Policies and Procedures, (District 3 is a plus)
- FDOT Advanced MOT Certification
- Attend the CTQP Quality Control Manager course and pass the examination
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal guidelines may differ from state-specific guidelines.
- If applicable to the position, a post offer fit for duty evaluation to ensure the individual can safely perform the essential functions of the role.
- Valid driver's license.
- A satisfactory motor vehicle (MVR).
