The Companion Diagnostic CDx Global Strategic Marketing Director is a senior strategic individual contributor responsible for defining and driving global commercialization strategy for CDx products across Leica Biosystems, serving as the commercial leader and CDx launch strategy expert who partners with pharma, business development, product management, medical and scientific affairs, regulatory, market access, regional commercial teams, and senior leadership to develop scalable launch models, lead global launch packages, align stakeholders, resolve complex commercialization challenges, and deliver successful launches that accelerate adoption, maximize partner value, and support sustainable business growth.
This position reports to the VP, Portfolio and Programs Advanced Staining Reagents and is part of the Product Management teamworking remotely to cover global activities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:- Define and lead the global commercialization strategy for CDx products, ensuring alignment with Leica Biosystems business objectives, pharma-partner expectations, regional market dynamics, and customer needs
- Serve as primary strategic marketing lead and commercial point of contact for Pharma Partners during global CDx commercialization planning, launch preparation, and execution.
- Collaborate with LBS product management teams, including Newcastle-based teams, to connect CDx commercialization strategy and lifecycle planning. Drive lifecycle management activities for the CDx portfolio, including product maintenance, revitalization, and portfolio health assessment to support growth, profitability, and resource prioritization.
- Apply market intelligence, competitive insights, customer workflow understanding, biomarker strategy, and regional market requirements to identify commercialization opportunities, risks, and growth levers.
- Monitor CDx launch performance, partner satisfaction, portfolio metrics, and market adoption trends; translate insights into recommendations to senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders. Establish standard work, scalable launch frameworks, and process improvements that improve CDx commercialization effectiveness, cross-functional alignment, and launch readiness discipline.
The essential requirements of the job include:- Extensive experience in strategic marketing, product management, commercialization, business development, or related commercial roles within CDx programs
- Significant experience leading or influencing global CDx commercialization programs, including launch planning, pharma-partner engagement, regional commercialization strategy, and post-launch performance management.
- Strong track record of collaborating with pharma and executing CDx launches successfully. Customer-focused with a proven track record of working in a cross-functional, global setting.
- Demonstrated ability to operate as a subject matter expert in CDx, IVD, oncology diagnostics, biomarker-based testing, or related markets.
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams in a global matrix environment without relying solely on direct authority.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:Up to 50% depending on location
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:- Desired: Experience in Medical Diagnostics Sales and/or Marketing.
- Well-connected in pharma and biotech. Proven track record and significant experience leading CDx or Pharmaceutical Product launches into multiple markets.

The annual salary range is $210,000 to $250,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
