The pay range listed below is the base salary for this position. This role is also eligible for 4% uncapped F&B commission.
Pay Minimum - Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $70,304 - $92,800 / year
In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. What will you do? - Generate new catering business through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals, venue relationships, and existing client relationships.
- Manage the full sales process from initial inquiry and discovery through proposal, contract, and event execution.
- Develop customized proposals, menus, and event concepts that align with each client's vision, needs, and budget.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, agencies, DMCs, venues, nonprofit organizations, and other industry partners.
- Conduct client meetings, site visits, tastings, and presentations.
- Collaborate closely with chefs, operations, event producers, rentals, and other internal teams to ensure a seamless transition from sales to execution.
- Attend and oversee events as needed to ensure client satisfaction and strengthen relationships.
- Maintain accurate and timely sales activity, pipeline, forecasting, and client information within the company's CRM.
- Consistently meet or exceed individual sales and revenue goals.
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and generate repeat and referral business.
- Stay current on industry trends, venues, competitors, culinary trends, and opportunities within the Los Angeles events market.
- Represent Patina Catering professionally at industry events, networking functions, client meetings, and other business development opportunities.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire client journey.
More about you - 3+ years of catering, hospitality, event sales, or related sales experience, preferably in a premium or luxury environment. Off-site experience is a bonus.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals
- Strong knowledge of the Los Angeles events, catering, hospitality, or entertainment market
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Professional presence and confidence interacting with high-profile clients and industry partners
- Passion for food, hospitality, events, and creating exceptional guest experiences
- A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with culinary, operations, and sales teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems; experience with HubSpot or similar platforms is a plus
- Availability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event and client needs
