Full Job Description
Category Leader, Archer Daniels Midland Company, Chicago, IL. Assist leadership during
sourcing initiatives through total cost of ownership model development, category strategy
development, fact-based negotiation strategy development and execution, supplier evaluation
and selection, and category strategy implementation. Manage multiple Professional Services
categories (e.g., HR Services, Benefits, Travel, and Insurance) to manage risk, monitor market
conditions, and maximize returns. Establish and maintain effective relationships with key
suppliers. Develop an annual plan for value delivery based on organizational goals/objectives and
marketplace knowledge. Negotiate category's procurement activities, strategic sourcing, supplier
management and contract management to support the company's process. Streamline P2P
Process. Establish and evaluate performance metrics for category and own cost saving results.
Engage internal stakeholders to jointly develop category strategies and communicate market and
sourcing information.
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Salary: $147,012 to $157,012/yr. Standard company

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Supply Management, Business Administration,
Finance, or a related field, and three (3) years of related work experience.
Must have three (3) years of experience with/in:
Procurement, LEAN Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or project management;
Creating pre-negotiation strategy including company's Best Alternative To a Negotiated
Agreement (BATNA);
Negotiating complex agreements and understanding contract law;
Using source-to-pay systems such as COUPA, Ariba or Maximo, and ERP Software such as
JDE or SAP; and
Using E-sourcing tools such as Ariba or Bravo.
Up to 10% domestic and international travel required.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
