Job Description

Nokia of America Corporation, Care Technical Specialist (Multiple Positions), Dallas, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Provide remote technical support to customers for Nokia's Charging solutions, NCC (Nokia Converged Charging), Surepay, and their components.
  • Provide root cause analysis for critical network issues, outages, and escalations.
  • Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing network systems, and other data communications networks and work closely with Research and Development (R&D), Services teams, and market teams on handling customer issues.
  • Perform network maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption and provide customers with application and network solutions support for complex problem isolation and resolution as well as outage restoration and neutralization.
  • Develop tools to make day to day care support easier, share tools with team and other global Charging Care teams.
  • Reproduce issues in labs with R&D and Services teams, and address customer escalations with support from market teams.
  • Support critical outages and escalations for critical customers.
  • Collaborate with global charging care teams by providing knowledge from local customer issue handling and suggest new feature improvements. #LI-DNI

Telecommuting from a location within commuting distance of Dallas, TX may be permitted up to 60%.

Qualifications

Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following:
  • Cloud computing platforms, Containerization including, Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift.

Of the required experience, must have 5 years of experience with the following:
  • 4G, 5G, LTE, VOIP, VoWiFi, VoLTE, and Interoperability testing; Design and configuration of 4G OCS (Online charging System) and 5G CHF (Charging Function);
  • Scripting languages: Shell, Perl, and Python;
  • Operating Systems: Linux/Unix, Solaris, and Windows;
  • Create and debug shell scripts and GUIs;
  • Virtualization, including VMWare and OpenStack;
  • Defect Tracking Tools, including JIRA, Confluence, and Salesforce;
  • Web Servers Apache and Tomcat; Product Tools:
  • RoboTester (Devops), RedHat Ansible, HELM Chart, Soap JMETER, Wireshark, Jenkins, GitHub, and Fluentd.
