Job Description

First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a Cards Product Manager to join our Card Services Division.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Work hours may vary)

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $75,000 to $115,000/yr; commensurate with experience.

The successful candidate will be hired for the level of the position that aligns with their experience.

Responsibilities

The Product Manager supports the development and execution of the strategy, roadmap, and performance of assigned card products with a focus on acquisition, loyalty, spend drivers, and product functionality. The role partners closely with Vendor Management, Operations, Compliance, Marketing, Technology, and Finance to ensure products are compliant, customer-centric, operationally sound, and fully reportable. Responsibilities include developing promotions and loyalty programs, optimizing pricing and features, managing third-party vendors, and using analytics to monitor results and inform decisions that are datacentric, operationally sound, and fully reportable.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

Minimum Qualifications (Officer Level):
  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, marketing, related field, or equivalent experience required.
  • Three (3) years of professional-level experience in product management or other relevant experience (e.g., banking, project management, marketing, etc.).

Additional Qualifications (AVP Level):

In addition to the above, candidates considered for the AVP level must also meet the following qualifications:
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional level experience in product management, financial services, payments, card programs, loyalty/rewards, marketing, or related fields inclusive of the following:
    • Demonstrated experience leading product strategy, including portfolio optimization, acquisition or engagement initiatives, pricing, or loyalty/rewards program design.
    • Proven success in managing cross-functional product development, including writing business requirements, defining roadmaps, and overseeing implementation from concept to launch.


Requirements for All Candidates:
  • Master's degree in finance, business, economics, or marketing preferred.
  • Previous experience in banking strongly preferred.
  • Experience with card networks/loyalty economics and reimbursable.
  • Familiarity with RAROC/net profitability and portfolio analytics.
  • Background in regulated financial services and customer lifecycle marketing
  • Demonstrated expertise in putting together a business case and financial pro-forma.
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience developing forecasts, evaluating performance trends, and translating insights into recommendations
  • Detail oriented with strong execution discipline and follow-through
  • Cross functional leadership & collaboration
  • Comfort with ambiguity; proactive problem solving and ownership
  • Able to plan, organize and budget.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and independently
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively work with various lines of business.

  • Experience in budgeting (production goals, marketing expenses, etc.)
