Responsibilities:

General Purpose: In an inpatient setting, supports standards of care and providing consultation and expertise in the delivery of patient care. Supports activities at the service, nursing practice, and institutional level, and contributes to goal achievement through personal action and the facilitation of others. They participate in community and professional organizations, demonstrating commitment to the promotion of nursing's visibility and future. Provides expert patient care, serves as a resource, consults as requested, and communicates effectively within the unit and service. They also participate in the management of human resources, the development and evaluation of recruitment and retention strategies, and the monitoring of patient outcomes. May have responsibilities at the unit, program or service level and may assume an expanded role as assigned by leadership

This is an exciting opportunity to lead in a progressive, state-of-the-art procedural environment that utilizes advanced technology and innovative treatment options to deliver exceptional cardiovascular care. The Holding Area Nurse Manager will provide strategic, operational, and clinical leadership to a highly skilled team supporting patients throughout the pre- and post-procedure phases of care and will play an integral role in shaping the department's continued growth and development. This highly collaborative leadership position blends clinical excellence, operational leadership, financial stewardship, quality and safety, and staff development, while offering the opportunity to contribute to program growth and continuous improvement across the cardiovascular service line. The Nurse Manager will partner closely with the Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology Nurse Managers, Assistant Nurse Managers, physicians, advanced practice providers, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary teams to promote safe, efficient, high-quality, patient-centered care. The Nurse Manager will report to the Assistant Director of Nursing for the Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology Lab. Recent clinical experience in an Adult Cardiac Cath and/or EP Lab, Heart Center, Cardiac Care, or Critical Care preferred. BS degree required, MS degree preferred required in 5 years, prior leadership experience required.
