Full Job Description
Meta is seeking a leader to join the Capacity Planning Optimization Engineering team to lead our Capacity Planning process design and execution. You will build and execute optimized infrastructure capacity planning processes covering all of Meta, in one of our largest transformations of how we plan and manage infrastructure capacity. This is a hands-on leadership role, interfacing with executive leadership at the company to run our infrastructure capacity planning processes to balance business and product capacity objectives with all the constraints of the business across infrastructure and financials. This is a highly cross-functional role, with the opportunity to work with a variety of engineering and business teams at the intersection of all Meta products and services (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, etc), all physical infrastructure (Servers, Data Centers, Network), and product business goals (AI, Metaverse, etc). You will be positioned to optimize these capacity plans at the most strategic levels with company-level impact, with your output used at the CxO level for key infrastructure and business decisions, as well as providing execution guidance for infrastructure and product teams.

Responsibilities

Own infrastructure capacity planning for all of Meta: all software products/services and plans for how to scale server and data center resources most efficiently
• Build, own, and execute cohesive end-to-end Integrated Planning processes and methodologies across Strategic, Tactical/Operations, and Execution horizons and granularities. Align requirements and expectations across all technical and business functions
• Leverage technical experience and expertise, to design and build company-wide transformational Planning programs, strategies, and methodologies across Infrastructure to scale Meta's infrastructure efficiently
• Partner with Finance and business teams to balance cost efficiency with technical and product considerations
• Manage unplanned emergent capacity requirements across all horizons in a constrained environment
• Develop decision scenarios and trade-offs to drive multi-billion dollar infrastructure decisions at the highest levels of the organization
• Own the communications strategy for planning processes and decisions, including executive-level communications and status updates
• Use technical judgment and experience to contribute to tools and technology strategy for Planning
• Work cross-functionally to define problem statements, collect data, and make recommendations to drive change and optimization at the company level

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a directly related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Bachelor's degree in a management, technical or engineering field
• 16+ years of experience working in Infrastructure/Cloud/Hardware with a background in Strategy, Capacity Planning, Supply Chain Optimization, or technology strategy consulting
• Experience leading enterprise-level Planning processes with frequent executive interaction
• Experience distilling complex data and high ambiguity into actionable insights and recommendations, to quickly separate signal from noise for executive communication and decision-making
• Business acumen with experience forming and refining hypotheses into actionable analysis and recommendations
• Experience identifying and framing complex or ambiguous infrastructure problems, defining opportunity spaces, and developing actionable strategies
• Experience in completing multiple cloud, infrastructure, or hardware optimization projects

Preferred Qualifications
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
• Direct experience building "zero to one" Infrastructure Planning processes at a hyperscaler
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
