As a Buyer, you will manage sourcing and purchasing activities for selected categories, components, or suppliers. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure quality, delivery performance, compliance, and continuous improvement across the supply base.

The role combines operational purchasing with strategic supplier collaboration. You will help build strong supplier relationships, support sustainability targets, and contribute to a resilient and efficient sourcing organization. You are organized, proactive, and solution oriented. You enjoy working with people across functions, cultures, and regions, and you build relationships through collaboration and accountability.

This is an onsite position located in Broken Arrow, OK.

As a part of the team, you will:

• Manage purchasing activities for assigned suppliers, materials, or categories
• Secure timely delivery, quality, and cost performance in line with business needs
• Build and maintain long-term supplier partnerships based on trust, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Support supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract management activities
• Work closely with production, engineering, logistics, quality, and sustainability teams
• Monitor supplier performance using key performance indicators and improvement plans
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and increase supply chain resilience
• Support sourcing projects connected to new products, capacity expansion, and operational improvements
• Ensure compliance with Alfa Laval policies, sustainability requirements, and relevant regulations
• Contribute to responsible sourcing practices, including supplier sustainability assessments and risk management
• Help drive digitalization and process improvements within procurement operations
• Participate in cross-functional and global sourcing initiatives when relevant

• Local, domestic and international travel up to 10%.

What you know:

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, engineering, operations management, or a related field, preferred with relevant experience, and/or 3 or more years' experience in purchasing, sourcing, supply chain, or procurement operations and:

• Experience working with suppliers in an industrial or manufacturing environment is an advantage
• Knowledge of procurement processes, negotiations, and supplier management
• Understanding of sustainability, compliance, and responsible sourcing principles
• Experience working with enterprise resource planning systems and procurement tools
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken

Physical and Environmental Factors:

• Extended periods of sitting at a desk with frequent attendance on shop floor.
• Shop Floor: Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions
• Shop Floor: Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration.
• Shop Floor: The noise level in the work environment is often loud.
• Shop Floor: Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Steel toe boots, safety glasses, and ear plugs)
