Position Overview:

The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) III is an experienced individual contributor responsible for supporting medium to large-scale technology initiatives by identifying, analyzing, and documenting complex business requirements and translating them into technical specifications. This role acts as a primary bridge between IT and Finance stakeholders, ensuring that technology solutions align with operational needs. A BSA III focuses on the technical integrity and successful execution of large-scale initiatives, performing deep-dive data analysis and system mapping to solve intricate business problems.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • (30%) Requirements Management & Systems Analysis: Individual will elicit Business requirements for moderately complex projects, perform technical analysis, and make recommendations to translate business needs and product requirements into sound technical solutions.
  • (25%) Technical Documentation and Solution Design - Develop and maintain technical documentation including process flows, functional specifications, data analysis, and system documentation to support solution delivery.
  • (20%) Stakeholder Coordination and Risk Mitigation - Partner with Technology, Business, and QA stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to support successful delivery and ensure solutions meet business requirements. Help identify risks, communicate impacts, support resolution of blockers, and contribute to development of testing scenarios and acceptance criteria.
  • (10%) System Impact Analysis and Organizational Assessment - Support system and organizational impact analysis by evaluating upstream and downstream effects, documenting impacts, and ensuring stakeholder awareness of changes. Will build and apply working knowledge of Credit Union backend systems to support assessment activities.


Required Education & Experience (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):
  • 2- 5 years business systems analysis, preferably within Information Technology and/or Financial Institution experience
  • Demonstrated experience as a Business Systems Analyst, working independently on medium to large size projects simultaneously, with limited oversight from manager, preferably within the financial industry or credit union sector.
  • Proven ability to define and solve basic to difficult problems, leveraging best in class technical solutions.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset and the ability to think critically about business challenges.
  • Fundamental experience in Product Development Lifecycle, ideally within an Agile framework.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, written and oral skills.


Preferred Education & Experience (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Finance or Engineering
  • 2-5+ years business systems analysis, preferably within Information Technology and/or Financial Institution experience
