Job Description

The Business Systems Analyst II (BSA II) serves as a strategic partner between business units and IT, translating business needs into scalable, data-driven technology solutions. This role carries a dedicated focus on applied artificial intelligence: the BSA II leads the rollout of an enterprise AI adoption and education program that helps Biltmore team members use prompted AI assistants and agentic AI workflows safely, confidently, and effectively in their daily work. Partnering closely with the enterprise data team and fellow business systems analysts, the BSA II identifies high-value AI use cases, builds the underlying data and system foundations, and deploys the resulting solutions into the workplace. The BSA II operates with minimal supervision, drives cross-functional collaboration, and contributes to digital transformation initiatives through data analysis, automation, and AI enablement.

Key Responsibilities

AI Adoption & Education Program
  • Design, launch, and continuously improve an enterprise AI adoption and education program spanning multiple business areas and lines of business
  • Build a role-based curricula and hand-on training covering prompt design, prompted AI assistants, and agentic AI workflows
  • Establish and support an AI champions network within each business area to leverage adoption and surface local use cases
  • Develop prompt libraries, playbooks, and self-service resources that reduce barriers to everyday AI use
  • Meet business areas where they are, tailoring content and pace to widely varying levels of technical comfort
  • Measure adoption, proficiency, and realized business impact; report progress and outcomes to senior leadership teams
  • Partner with HR, Legal, Risk, and Compliance to communicate acceptable use, data handling, and responsible AI expectations


Prompted & Agentic AI Solutions
  • Translate business processes into AI-assisted and agent-driven workflows
  • Partner with the Enterprise Data team to ensure AI assistants and agents have governed, well-modeled, AI-ready data and secure access to source systems
  • Collaborate with business systems analysts to embed AI capabilities into the applications and processes they own
  • Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, consistency, bias, and hallucination; define evaluation, monitoring, and feedback loops before and after release
  • Assess and pilot vendor AI features and platform capabilities, documenting fit, cost, limitations, and integration requirements


Business Analysis & Strategy
  • Identify opportunities to optimize workflows, improve efficiency, and reduce operational risk
  • Align system solutions with business strategy, KPIs, and customer experience goals
  • Define success metrics and support AI-powered decision making


Testing & Implementation
  • Lead and coordinate system testing (UAT, integration, regression)
  • Support deployment activities and post-implementation validation
  • Develop training materials and facilitate end-user adoption
  • Provide ongoing support and continuous improvement recommendations
  • Define test cases and evaluation criteria for AI-assisted and agentic solutions, including edge cases, failure modes, and human handoff points
  • Deliver AI training sessions, quick-reference guides, and enablement materials that drive sustained end-user adoption


Operational Support & Leadership
  • Maintain system documentation, configurations, and process artifacts
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to team knowledge sharing
  • Support change management and adoption initiatives (ITIL or similar frameworks)
  • Support AI governance activities, including use case registry, tool and model inventory, and responsible use review
  • Serve as a go-to resource for AI questions across the organization


Qualifications

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3-5+ years of experience in AI technologies, business systems analysis or related IT roles
  • Experience in corporate or service-oriented environments preferred
  • Demonstrated experience delivering AI, automation, or technology adoption and enablement programs to non-technical business audiences
  • Experience facilitating training, workshops, or communities of practice at enterprise scale (preferred)


Technical Skills

Strong experience with:
  • Prompt design, iteration, and evaluation for large language model assistants


Familiarity with:
  • ITSM frameworks (ITIL preferred)
  • System integrations, APIs, or automation tools (preferred)
  • Agentic AI concepts (tool and function calling, orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation, human-in-the-loop design)
  • Enterprise AI platforms and assistants (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT Enterprise, or similar)
  • AI governance, responsible use, and data privacy considerations (preferred)
  • Modern data platforms, lakehouse, and data governance concepts (preferred)
