Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with strong healthcare and Third-Party Administration (TPA) domain expertise and hands-on experience with MicroStrategy. The ideal candidate will understand healthcare business processes, particularly TPA operations, and translate business requirements into effective reporting and analytics solutions. Experience with legacy BI/reporting environments and collaboration across technical and business stakeholders is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities- Gather and document requirements from healthcare and TPA stakeholders.
- Collaborate with teams including business users, product owners, project managers, developers, and data teams to define reporting needs.
- Leverage MicroStrategy to support enterprise reporting, dashboards, and BI initiatives.
- Analyze existing reports and identify opportunities for enhancement, modernization, and migration.
- Translate requirements into detailed functional specifications and user stories.
- Define data/reporting needs with technical teams.
- Validate outputs against business requirements.
- Support UAT including test planning, test cases, issue tracking, and resolution.
- Analyze healthcare data and business processes related to TPA.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand claims, eligibility, benefits, provider, and member data requirements.
- Document processes for current-state and future-state workflows.
- Troubleshoot reporting issues and support resolution.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and provide updates to leadership.
- Coordinate with global teams to deliver projects within timelines.
Required Qualifications- 5-7+ years of Business Systems Analyst / Business Analyst experience
- Strong healthcare domain experience
- Hands-on experience with TPA processes and systems
- Strong MicroStrategy experience (development/support)
- Experience gathering and documenting business requirements
- Strong SQL/data analysis skills
- Experience with BI, reporting, and analytics platforms
- Experience creating functional requirements, user stories, process flows, and data requirements
- Experience with UAT and defect management
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with Power BI
- Experience with SSRS
- Experience supporting legacy reporting environments
- Knowledge of healthcare claims, eligibility, benefits, membership, and provider data
- Experience with BI/reporting modernization or migration initiatives
- Agile/Scrum experience
- Experience working in distributed/onshore-offshore teams
Certifications (if any)- None required; certifications in BI tools or SQL are a plus
