Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Business Systems Analyst & Automation Engineer to audit, document, maintain, optimize, and expand digital business process infrastructure. This role serves as the technical owner of the SharePoint environment and Power Automate workflows, ensuring reliability, proper documentation, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will possess a process-focused mindset and the ability to evaluate and recommend the most appropriate platform for business solutions while reducing redundancy and driving automation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive audits of SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, permissions, and configurations.
- Inventory and document Power Automate workflows, including triggers, actions, connectors, logic, and dependencies.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, process maps, runbooks, and workflow documentation standards.
- Monitor SharePoint environments and Power Automate workflows for failures, diagnose root causes, and implement long-term solutions.
- Design and implement error handling, alerting, and retry mechanisms to improve workflow reliability and resilience.
- Perform regression testing following system and workflow changes to minimize downstream impacts.
- Identify, eliminate, and optimize redundant, outdated, or inefficient workflows and SharePoint structures.
- Refactor existing automations to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Utilize PowerShell scripting to automate administrative tasks, bulk operations, and configuration management.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into automated solutions.
- Design, develop, and deploy Power Automate workflows and SharePoint solutions that streamline manual business processes.
- Evaluate process requests and recommend the most effective platform and implementation approach.
- Assess existing and proposed business processes to determine the most suitable platform for workflow execution and approvals.
- Provide recommendations on workflow configuration, search capabilities, integrations, and process optimization.
- Act as a liaison between business operations and enterprise systems to support efficient process management and data governance.
Required Qualifications- 3+ years of hands-on experience with SharePoint Online, including site administration, lists, libraries, permissions, and content types.
- 3+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining medium-to-high complexity Power Automate workflows.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for SharePoint and Microsoft 365 administration, including PnP PowerShell.
- Demonstrated ability to audit, document, and reverse-engineer existing solutions with limited or no documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills across integrated Microsoft 365 services.
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional automation solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with NetSuite ERP, including workflow automation, saved searches, approval routing, and custom fields.
- Familiarity with NetSuite SuiteFlow or SuiteScript for customization and workflow enhancements.
- Experience evaluating and recommending appropriate platforms for business process automation.
- Experience with Microsoft Dataverse, Power Apps, or Azure Logic Apps.
- Knowledge of API connectors and HTTP request actions within Power Automate.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks.
Certifications- Microsoft Power Platform certifications such as PL-900, PL-500, or equivalent.
