Job Description

RBC Wealth Management Canada Client Systems team is looking for a passionate, energetic and talented business system analyst to join a dynamic Agile development team tackling challenging, complex problems while driving business outcomes. As the Business systems analyst of Client Systems you will join the agile delivery team of Wealth Management Book of Record system and the system interfaces in terms of distribution and suite of robust API's to server end-to-end lifecycle of the consumer party journeys. You will have accountability of grooming the backlog for technical integrity, regulatory compliance, and high-performance delivery of the Wealth Book or record system for Clients and Accounts platform with integration across multiple technology partner groups and external custody provider. You will also drive cross-functional collaboration between Business, Operations, Information Security, Enterprise Technology Infrastructure and Compliance to align technology investments with strategic priorities.

What will you do?
  • Act as a liaison between business and full stack developers, ensuring alignment and effective communication throughout the sprint lifecycle.
  • Analyze and document detailed business requirements and system requirements using enterprise standard requirements methodology.
  • Build and maintain a repository of reusable requirements documentation to support future initiatives, following the enterprise and digital standards.
  • Perform stakeholder analysis to identify impacted groups and stakeholder responsibilities.
  • Manage risks, assumptions and constraints for requirements, and communicate to appropriate parties
  • Define the business analysis approach including tasks and deliverables based on the project and delivery methodology.
  • Support Design, Development, and QE activities by providing requirements clarifications.
  • Support QE test activities including planning, defect triage, and root-cause analysis for requirements-related issues


What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:
  • 1+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst and/or digital development roles preferably within large Financial Institutions.
  • Strong experience in both business and technical analysis, with the ability to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions.
  • Experience with user stories, business and systems specifications, business context diagrams, business process maps, Figma design use cases and user story maps.
  • Experience with Relational Database preferable SQL and SQL studio for building and query analysis as well as Postman.
  • Experience in requirements elicitation techniques such as Document analysis, Interviews, facilitated workshops, Observation, Prototyping, Focus groups, Surveys
  • Experience working with Confluence, JIRA, FIGMA , IDE and various AI embedded tools like Co-Pilot, Windsurf within IDE environment.


Nice-to-have:
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Institute -Professional in Business Analysis Certification (PMI - PBA)
  • Agile certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or similar.
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Sciences
