About this opportunity:

The Business Solutions team is responsible for supporting the Cenovus Land and Well Management Ecosystem. This includes applications, integrations, business process analysis, data analytics, and corporate reporting related to land and well data.

This role sits within the Business Performance team in Business Solutions and focuses on technical solution development, reporting, data analytics, data governance, and performance insights. You will collaborate closely with business users, other Business Solutions teams, and IT partners to deliver effective solutions across the Land and Well Management Ecosystem.

What you'll do:

  • Provide support for data governance, data engineering, scripting, integrations, and related requirements.
  • Design, build, and configure dashboards and data visualizations.
  • Develop and deliver complex operational and corporate reports.
  • Evaluate and select performance technologies, build custom applications, and implement solutions.
  • Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and IT teams, proactively identifying issues, taking corrective action, and managing expectations.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, understandable communication. Lead discussions, facilitate meetings, and ensure alignment to drive effective outcomes across diverse stakeholders.


Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, petroleum, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of progressive oil and gas experience, ideally in application support, business analysis, or project management; experience with vendor-hosted applications is an asset.
  • Intermediate skills in business analysis, including requirements gathering, validation, testing, facilitation, change management, and process/data modeling.
  • Experience with Land and Well applications such as WellView, SiteView, LandView, Execute, CS Land, or StackDX is an asset.
  • Intermediate experience in data management, quality assurance, reporting, scripting, custom applications, and data visualization in PowerBI and Spotfire.
  • A solid understanding of Land and Well domain processes and systems.
