Description:
Diversified Systems is searching for a Business Process & Governance Engineer to partner across the enterprise to build and strengthen governance capabilities across data, information, and emerging AI programs, translating ambiguous needs into practical processes, documentation, and tools.

This role supports multiple governance programs at various stages of maturity, including Data Governance, Information Governance, and AI Governance. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen existing governance programs while helping define and establish new governance capabilities. The successful candidate will partner with business, IT, privacy, security, and other units to build governance processes, documentation, tools, and stakeholder engagement activities with minimal day-to-day oversight.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement governance processes, workflows, and documentation for programs across a range of maturity, from established to still-forming.
  • Translate business needs into practical frameworks, tools, and training materials.
  • Partner with stakeholders across technical and non-technical audiences to drive adoption.
  • Operate with significant autonomy by identifying gaps, proposing solutions, and executing without a predefined playbook.
  • Flex across programs as priorities shift, applying the same core skill set to different levels of ambiguity and structure.
  • Quickly grasp governance, policy, or regulatory requirements and translate them into clear processes, documentation, guides, and stakeholder conversations.
  • Support governance capabilities across Data Governance, Information Governance, and AI Governance programs.

  • 2 years of experience in higher education or another complex, decentralized institutional environment highly desired.
