Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Business Process Architect with deep expertise in APG MES platforms, semiconductor manufacturing environments, MCS-MES integrations, event-driven architectures, and manufacturing data models. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership across MES integration, material tracking, manufacturing workflows, performance, scalability, and operational reliability while driving complex integration initiatives from design through production deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical expertise in APG 300Works MES architecture and its core components.
• Work with server-side business rules, Dispatching, RTD (Real-Time Dispatch), AMA rules engine, Communication Services, and Pulsar messaging framework.
• Evaluate and influence the use of standard MES capabilities versus custom Lab MES extensions.
• Apply comprehensive knowledge of MES concepts, including lot travelers, recipe management, dispatching logic, and manufacturing execution workflows.
• Design and implement MCS (Material Control System) and MES integration patterns.
• Work with host-to-equipment communication interfaces, stocker and conveyor integrations, SECS/GEM, and EDA communication protocols.
• Design event-driven architectures utilizing Pulsar messaging and carrier state updates.
• Define MCS-triggered workflows and synchronization models between Lab MES, MCS, and WFM systems.
• Develop integration strategies that support seamless material movement and manufacturing process execution.
• Apply technical expertise in semiconductor manufacturing data models, including carrier (FOUP) management, lot tracking, and slot-level material integrity.
• Ensure data consistency and synchronization across MES and external applications.
• Define and govern data contracts, integration standards, and synchronization guarantees for critical events such as carrier updates and material movements.
• Maintain end-to-end material traceability and data accuracy across manufacturing systems.
• Support MES integration across the broader APG ecosystem, including AMA (Automation Management Architecture), RTD (Real-Time Dispatch), TME, and other manufacturing applications.
• Orchestrate end-to-end manufacturing workflows across process operations, metrology systems, and material handling and movement systems.
• Manage cross-system dependencies, exception handling, and integration failure scenarios.
• Provide technical ownership for MES integration performance and operational reliability.
• Define and monitor latency SLAs, system throughput, scalability requirements, and API reliability and availability metrics.
• Establish robust integration frameworks incorporating error handling mechanisms, retry strategies, and fallback and recovery procedures.
• Define production readiness criteria, including performance benchmarks, monitoring and observability standards, reliability and resilience requirements, and operational support and maintenance processes.
• Drive complex integration initiatives across multiple stakeholders from solution design through production deployment.
Required Qualifications:
• Strong understanding of APG 300Works MES architecture and its core components.
• In-depth knowledge of server-side business rules, Dispatching, RTD, AMA rules engine, Communication Services, and Pulsar messaging.
• Strong understanding of MES concepts, including lot travelers, recipe management, dispatching logic, and manufacturing execution workflows.
• Hands-on experience with MCS and MES integration patterns.
• Strong knowledge of host-to-equipment communication interfaces, stocker and conveyor integrations, SECS/GEM, and EDA communication protocols.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and distributed messaging platforms such as Pulsar.
• Strong technical expertise in semiconductor manufacturing data models, including carrier (FOUP) management, lot tracking, and slot-level material integrity.
• Experience defining data contracts, integration standards, and synchronization requirements.
• Strong understanding of MES integration within broader manufacturing ecosystems.
• Experience managing cross-system dependencies, exception handling, and integration failure scenarios.
• Experience with performance, scalability, reliability, and resilience engineering for manufacturing systems.
• Ability to define performance benchmarks, monitoring and observability standards, and production readiness criteria.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Proven experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) in semiconductor manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of factory automation, material control systems, and equipment integration.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and distributed messaging platforms.
• Experience orchestrating end-to-end manufacturing workflows across process operations, metrology, and material handling systems.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholders and drive complex integration initiatives from design through production deployment.
