DataBank's managed data center services are built around world-class facilities, multi-homed Internet access hubs, and enterprise-grade storage and compute infrastructure. We provide a redundant managed colocation environment for companies wishing to outsource their entire IT infrastructure, consisting of space, power, network transport, cloud hosting, and managed services.

As Manager of Business Operations, you will lead a team of business operations analysts while serving as the critical liaison between sales, finance, product development, and technical teams. This leadership role focuses on revenue operations optimization, pricing strategy, and sales enablement to drive business growth across DataBank's cloud hosting and managed services portfolio.

You will be responsible for tactical business operations including pricing analysis, deal profitability optimization, product catalog management, sales support and enablement as well as tracking and alignment of product and licensing costs. This role requires strong leadership skills, analytical capabilities, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly documentation and processes that enhance operational efficiency and sales effectiveness.

The position includes direct people management responsibility for a team of 3-5 business operations analysts, providing mentorship, career development, and performance management while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

Leadership & People Management

  • Team Leadership: Direct management of 3-5 business operations analysts, including hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and career development planning
  • Operational Planning: Develop and execute business operations strategies that align with sales objectives and revenue goals
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Sales, Finance, Marketing, Cloud Operations, and Product Management teams to ensure seamless execution of business initiatives
  • Process Improvement: Lead operational improvements and workflow optimization initiatives to enhance team productivity and accuracy


Business Operations & Analytics

  • Pricing Strategy: Lead comprehensive pricing analysis and optimization for all cloud services, including competitive benchmarking, cost modeling, and margin target establishment
  • Deal Analysis: Oversee sales deal profitability reviews, quote analysis, and pipeline performance assessment to optimize deal structures and improve conversion rates
  • Business Intelligence: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports tracking KPIs including pricing effectiveness, deal profitability, sales pipeline analysis, and forecasting accuracy
  • Process Optimization: Design and implement streamlined lead-to-cash processes, approval workflows, and business procedures that enhance operational efficiency


Product Catalog & Sales Support

  • Product Catalog Management: Maintain and optimize product catalog for all cloud hosting and managed services offerings, ensuring accurate pricing, feature descriptions, and technical specifications
  • Sales Organization Support: Provide tactical sales support including custom pricing analysis, RFP response coordination, and deal structuring guidance
  • Documentation & Training: Oversee creation and maintenance of sales enablement materials including product datasheets, competitive analysis guides, and training materials
  • Deal Desk Operations: Manage deal desk procedures, quote review processes, and approval workflows to ensure compliance and efficiency


Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
  • Experience: 5-8 years of combined experience in business operations, pricing analysis, financial analysis, or sales operations, with at least 2-3 years in management/leadership roles
  • Industry Knowledge: 3+ years of experience in technology, cloud services, data center, or managed services industries preferred


Technical Skills

  • Data Analysis: Advanced proficiency in Excel (complex modeling, pivot tables, macros), SQL, and business intelligence platforms (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
  • Systems Experience: Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), ERP systems, CPQ platforms, and project management tools (Monday.com, Asana, or similar)
  • Cloud Technology: Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts including IaaS, virtualization, storage, networking, and managed services architectures
