The Business Operations Analyst and Executive Assistant serves as a strategic partner to the Vice Provost by supporting divisional planning, operational effectiveness, and strategic decision making. Develops, monitors, and analyzes key performance indicators (KPIs), performance dashboards, and operational metrics to evaluate organizational effectiveness and support achievement of divisional objectives. Conducts analysis of enrollment, financial, operational, and service related data to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement. Prepares reports, presentations, recommendations, and executive briefings for senior leadership related to business performance, resource utilization, and strategic priorities.

Supports execution of the divisional strategic plan through project management and operational coordination. Oversees the preparation and management of grant and contract proposals. Develops and maintains relationships with vendors, university partners, peer institutions, and community organizations. Uses sound judgment to evaluate complex issues and provide recommendations that support organizational goals.

Leads operational planning and coordination activities supporting the Office of Strategic Enrollment Management. Evaluates business processes, workflows, and operational practices to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and effectiveness. Develops recommendations and implementation plans to improve organizational performance and service delivery.


Coordinates strategic initiatives and cross functional projects, including development of project plans, milestone tracking, risk identification, stakeholder communication, and implementation support. Collaborates with leaders across enrollment, marketing, student success, finance, and administrative units to ensure projects and initiatives align with divisional goals and priorities.

Provides executive level support to the Vice Provost to ensure effective leadership, operations, and the execution of strategic priorities. Manages a complex executive calendar and coordinates meetings, events, and activities involving internal and external stakeholders. Prepares agendas, presentations, supporting materials, briefing documents, and background information for leadership meetings and engagements.


Manages inquiries and correspondence on behalf of the Vice Provost and drafts complex and sensitive communications for a variety of audiences. Coordinates travel arrangements, expense reports, contracts, and related administrative processes. Serves as a liaison between the Office of Strategic Enrollment Management and university departments, colleges, and external stakeholders. Attends meetings, documents key decisions and action items, and ensures timely follow up and execution. Handles sensitive and confidential information with professionalism, diplomacy, and discretion.

Coordinates operational resources supporting the Office of Strategic Enrollment Management, including contracts, vendor relationships, budget monitoring, facilities needs, technology resources, and administrative processes. Assists with forecasting resource needs and evaluating operational impacts of strategic initiatives. Monitors expenditures and supports the implementation of resource management practices aligned with divisional goals.


Oversees daily office operations, including facilities coordination, office security, procurement of supplies, space scheduling, and special event logistics. Maintains shared communication channels and ensures operational continuity by providing backup support to other SEM administrative professionals as needed.

Leads and supports special projects that advance divisional priorities and organizational effectiveness. Participates in cross functional working groups, operational assessments, and strategic initiatives. Fosters a collaborative and customer focused culture within the Office of Strategic Enrollment Management and performs other duties as assigned in support of the mission, vision, and values of The Ohio State University.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree in relevant field may be desirable. 4 years of relevant experience required. 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred.

The pay range for this job profile is $70,100-$91,600. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
