Under the direction of the Senior Director, the Business Manager serves as a strategic advisor and the primary resource for financial management, business intelligence, data analytics, and executive reporting for the Simms Mann UCLA Center for Integrative Oncology.
The Business Manager independently oversees key financial functions, including budgeting, forecasting, fund management, grants, gifts, donor funding, and financial reporting, while ensuring compliance with University and health system policies. Partnering with clinical, operational, finance, development, and executive stakeholders, the incumbent assesses complex business needs, develops reporting strategies, and translates clinical, financial, operational, and programmatic data into actionable insights.
This highly visible role leads the development of dashboards, performance metrics, and strategic reports; establishes data governance and reporting standards; and identifies opportunities to improve processes and leverage automation. As a trusted liaison across UCLA Health, you will play a critical role in advancing financial stewardship, operational excellence, program evaluation, and data-driven decision-making in support of the Center's mission and continued growth.

Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in financial analysis, business intelligence, healthcare analytics, business operations, or a related field.
- Knowledge of grant and donor-funded program administration and financial stewardship.
- Experience with Tableau or similar business intelligence and data visualization platforms.
- Experience working with relational databases and querying tools such as Oracle, SQL Server, or SQL.
- Experience managing budgets, financial reporting, forecasting, and fund administration.
- Experience developing complex reports, dashboards, and data visualizations for operational and executive leadership.
- Experience analyzing and synthesizing large, complex datasets from multiple sources to support strategic decision-making.
- Knowledge of business intelligence, reporting methodologies, and data governance practices.
- Understanding of database structures, data management principles, and reporting systems.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
- Ability to communicate complex financial and analytical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Healthcare Administration (MHA), Public Health (MPH), Finance, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience/knowledge of healthcare operations to include clinical workflows, quality metrics, and performance measurement.
