Full Job Description
We are looking for a Business Manager to support the Pancreatic Cancer Center. You will oversee the operational and financial performance of the Pancreatic Cancer Center, partnering with research leadership to support strategic growth, budget management, and operational excellence. This role drives performance improvement initiatives, manages resources and facilities, serves as a key liaison with internal stakeholders, and ensures efficient research operations, financial stewardship, and an exceptional patient experience. As a successful candidate, you will: • Provide pre- and post-award research administration support, helping faculty and leadership successfully develop and manage funded research programs. • Lead operational improvement initiatives that enhance patient access, experience, quality, throughput, capacity, and cost efficiency. • Oversee facilities, space planning, capital projects, and vendor contracts to support the Center's growth and operational needs. • Partner with cross-functional teams including Finance, Legal, IT, Facilities, Supply Chain, and Hospital Administration to advance strategic priorities and improve organizational effectiveness. • Develop and manage operating and capital budgets, forecast revenue and expenses, monitor financial performance, and ensure accurate financial reporting and reconciliation. • Analyze operational, financial, and workforce data to identify trends, improve productivity, and support informed decision-making. • Create dashboards, validate data, and develop business cases for new programs, positions, and capital investments. • Apply process improvement and Lean methodologies to streamline workflows, optimize resource utilization, and drive continuous performance improvement. Your qualifications should include: • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business or related field. MHA, MPH or MBA preferred. • 3+ years of business/operations experience preferably in a healthcare environment • Lean Six Sigma certification preferred but not required.
