Overview

Kimley-Horn is seeking a Regional Business Manager to join the leadership team for our Southwest Region. This in-office position may be based in either our Las Vegas, Nevada (NV) office.

Responsibilities

This highly visible role is a key member of our Accounting team and serves as a trusted business partner to regional leadership, practice leaders, and client-serving teams. The Business Manager plays a critical role in supporting regional financial performance, strengthening business operations, and reinforcing Kimley-Horn’s strong culture of accountability, collaboration, and service. The Business Manager will work closely with accounting professionals and project managers to support the region in achieving monthly and annual financial objectives through proactive analysis and hands-on partnership with project teams.

Key responsibilities include:• Partnering with regional leadership and Practice Builder teams to support overall business and financial performance• Providing oversight and guidance related to core regional financial metrics and performance trends• Collaborating with Project Managers at all levels to support project financial management, forecasting, and accountability• Mentoring, training, and leading regional accounting staff, fostering professional growth and high-quality outcomes• Supporting and enhancing internal controls and financial processes to ensure consistency and accuracy• Leading and supporting regional real estate efforts in coordination with firm leadership• Building strong, collaborative relationships across engineering, planning, accounting, and corporate support teams

• Participating in and leading special projects and firm initiatives as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, accounting, finance, or a related field• 12+ years of relevant professional experience; AEC industry experience preferred• Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, and developing teams• Strong technical proficiency with accounting systems, MIS platforms, and financial reporting tools• Proven ability to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency across accounting outputs and team interactions• Track record of effective partnership with senior leadership, technical staff, and support teams at all levels• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively• Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment• Advanced Excel skills• Willingness to travel as needed• Experience with Deltek Costpoint and IBM Cognos Reporting preferred• Experience supporting annual planning and budgeting cycles preferred
