  • Act as liaison between NAVSUP stakeholders and IT teams to translate requirements into data models and specifications.
  • Monitor data integrity across the NEW environment and support existing reports and analytical tools.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for data dictionaries, procedures, and BI system components.

Full Job Description
Overview

The mid-level BI Analyst will support theNAVSUP Business Systems Center (BSC)inmaintainingand expanding theNAVSUP Enterprise Web (NEW)environment. This is a critical role in the lifecycle of custom applications, includingMyNAVSUP, by translating complex data into actionable insights that drive Navy supply chain andlogisticsperformance.

Responsibilities
  • Application Development Support:Collaborate with developers to design and implement BI solutions within theMyNAVSUPportaland other NEW custom applications.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:Query large datasets from theNavy Data Platform (NDP)andNavy Business Intelligence Services (NBIS)to produce financial, supply chain, and workforce reports.
  • Dashboard Development:Create and maintain interactivemetrics dashboardsusing tools likeTableau,SAP BusinessObjects, orPower BIto monitor NEW environment health and application usage.
  • Requirement Gathering:Act as a bridge between NAVSUP stakeholders and IT teams to translate mission requirements into scalable data models and technical specifications.
  • System Maintenance:Monitor data integrity across theNEW environmentand provide technical support for existing reports and analytical tools.
  • Documentation:Maintaindetailed documentation for data dictionaries, operational procedures, and BI system components to ensure enterprise-wide continuity.
Qualifications
  • US Citizenship and Active DoD Clearance.
  • Minimum of 3 6 years of experience in data analysis, report writing, or business intelligence, preferably within a Department of Defense (DoD) or Navy environment.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • ProficiencyinSQLfor querying complex databases.
  • Hands-on experience with BI tools such asSAP BusinessObjects,Tableau, orIBM Cognos.
  • Familiarity with web-based application environments and portal structures (e.g., AWS GovCloud)

Preferred Skills

  • Experience withInformaticaor other ETL tools used within theNavy Business Intelligence Services.
  • Knowledge of Navy Supply Systems Command operations, includinglogisticsand ERP extranet processes.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst, or Tableau Desktop Specialist.

Target Pay RangeThe below listed pay range for this position is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The final offered salary will be influenced by a host of factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
